This would definitely be an improvement for the shop system. Combine this with manual layering of items (just like z-values in map editor, suggested elsewhere) and I would be really pleased.

No support... unless it's something where you can have more than one of the same type of item. I wear the RD hair along with the Applebloom hair fairly often, and this would ruin it.
