No matter what we do, our words with not stop their immature behavior. We can't control them, go ahead and tell them stop a million times, nothing will work. That's how selfish and rude people have come. It doesn't matter what they say, because they just call people things that they are. It gives them more confidence, and yes confidence is good, but it matters how you get it. Some people just say mean things because they think they're cool enough, and they want to impress their friends and influence them to do it too. Take a look at what the world has become. It used to be a beautiful peaceful place... We destroyed it. So if you're one of the rude people, look what you have done. You could have destroyed people's confidence. I wish you good luck trying to patch up your mistakes and the holes you put in people's confidence, and hope. We can not stop this mayhem. Edit: Swearing is not against the rules, unless you swear like crazy... Lalemavis a dit : ^ Dernière modification le 1423780620000 |

Is this thread about swearing in general or just about people calling each other noobs? Swearing excessively is against the rules, calling someone a noob is not. Dernière modification le 1423776000000 |

If you want to "stop opposition of the rules" start by not posting threads about subjects that already have had at least fifty other threads posted in the past month alone. |

About this: Lemodile a dit : I'd like to ask you one quick thing, swearing against God should be a thing in the Italian server. I know in many regions people tends to swear against God a lot but i find rather offensive and stupid not to punish eccessive swearing against God, When i play in other games with an italian community such as Pokemon showdown (i think it's legit to say another game's Name if it's not you can delete it no probs ^^) if you swear against God you get a huge ban. I know the rules here are a bit different, and swearing it's not ban whorth, but reading a chat filled with swears that comes unnoticed by the mods (who cares more about other things) it's not really user friendly. If any mod wants to discuss about this fell free to Pm me so we can leave this topic clean. |

Roflmao This is probably one of the most ridiculous suggestions I've seen. What's the problem on calling someone newbie? And how come it's a bad word? btw! This Is Totally a Cool Way To Understand What You're Saying! x) About your question @francesco: God is something that cannot be seen, felt, touched, speak or known. Because god isn't actually a thing x). As Einstein said cold doesnt exist, its just the absence of heat, without heat everything would be inert, lifeless. As well for darkness is just the absence of light. Same applies to god. humans made the word god to explain something that we cannot touch, feel, see or know. But there is an universal meaning ;), like cold and darkness. It's up with you to give meaning of any word. Here's another thing you cannot insult something that is not actually a thing, can you? ;p Dernière modification le 1423967100000 |

Mate, if you ask people to stop, they will call you noob. Think 'bout it, if there is a shaman and he just does random stuff, helping no one, you will get mad and insult him, it is part of the game, humans are that way, make something wrong and everyone laughs at you, do something right and people will not care. |

@Ifrancesco: I think you make a good point that also fits within what's ontopic here. It should be clear that every community is different just as every language is different. There are always certain cultural values at play and I immediately believe you when you say that people may be more offended by people cursing to God in Italy than for example in my country, the Netherlands. This is also why these rules aren't extremely clear; we keep it at "swearing excessively", but leave open to interpretation what that is exactly. Again, because of these differences between groups of people. I'm confident that when IT gets more staff, something like what you suggest will happen. Dutch people tend to swear almost exclusively with diseases (some of which haven't been an issue since the middle ages) and you'll find that Dutch staff is quicker to act against this type of swearing than against others. To make a bridge back to what this topic is about; if you want people to follow the rules, it's important that they are both understood and accepted. With such a large and diverse group of players this is only possible if you somewhat tailor these rules to the different cultural values at play. This means that it's important for staff to be sensitive to this as well and understand that there's more to it than writing a bunch of rules. |

Another issue that I see happening is people are not reporting when things are happening. Instead of reporting they say "just ignore, there's no need to report them." Without reporting, the mods can't know what's going on since there are only a few of them and so many rooms and servers. If more reporting and less ignoring happened, the Transformice community would begin taking a slight turn toward being better since the bad people would be getting in trouble for being bad and even muted/banned. The point here is that if you see something bad happening you need to report it and be patient. Don't blame the mods for not being everywhere at once to take care of everything at one time. |
