Sinnwidrig a dit : I can only speak in Turkish server and International server. I am not allowed to speak in other servers. As far as i know only Turks, Brazilians and Spanish are not allowed to speak in different servers because of "spamming". I only want to speak in the Russian server. What is wrong with it? Do i have to tell here my russian origin to be able to speak in the russian server? ... |

Xvicki a dit : I was unaware that Poland had moved ahead of them. "Although I must say Poland seems to have taken the lead over TR." I sincerely apologize for the false information. Thepurpleone a dit : But if we care to be technical, those rules are in place because people began speaking their own language. So it's a spiral effect. |

Rather than complain here, consider reporting in game, aka what the report system is for? |

Do you think mods care? LOL Ofc, they dont. Seriously, who is obeying the so called "rules" now? Me or Superyacine? He is American/British and he is allowed to swear in every server :P Haru, do you have statistics on this issue? Dernière modification le 1424974500000 |

On what issue? Users being muted? No, I'm not a moderator. Your point has no basis. Racism is racism, he is being racist, you report him. Plain and simple. He's not going to get "bias" because he's American/British and "can swear in every server." |

Haruhitastic a dit : Well, at least you realized the fact that you are not a mod at all. ^^ Since you have been acting like a mod on this issue for 3 days. Actually, he is somehow privileged as being American/British. Not only he can spam but also he can swear in every server he wants c: |

No, he can't? Where did you even get that idea? If he goes to a server and goes "FUCKING (INSERT RACE HERE), KILL YOURSELVES," he'll get a mute just like if a Turk goes "AMK AMERICANS." You don't receive "privilege" for being from an English-speaking country. Also, if you feel I have been acting like a mod; feel free to report me via the forum for backseat moderating. |

Haruhitastic a dit : You dont still get the point what i tried to explain, or you dont want to understand me at all xD The problem is that bad guys (Turks, Brazilians, Spanish) are not allowed to speak in other servers whereas the rest of players from different countries are allowed to speak in other servers. They can even swear at us (Turks, Brazilians, Spanish) in our servers. I do find this as a discrimination against Turks, Brazilians and Spanish. This is my personal view. By the way, "Amk" is just an abbreviation and it is mostly used by men. It is not suitable for a lady to say "AMK". [Sentinel] Edited out unnecessary comments. Do not derail the thread. Before I leave this off I'll say the reason that English-speakers are permitted to speak on most servers (JP they cannot, it's strictly Japanese IPs only, and you can thank weeaboos for that) is because English is recognized as the "international language." I'm done debating here. I understand what you are trying to say, however you're not getting the point I'm trying to make, and you're only moving to degrading me simply because I don't speak how you like. If you want to continue then by all means PM me. I'm finished publicly however. [Sentinel] Edited out replies to off topic posts. Dernière modification le 1424977800000 |

Xvicki a dit : Ahem, you forgot the Portuguese! (and I'll stop on this part, since that's also a big issue, and I'll keep saying: Portugal is NOT Brazil, got it? Thanks...) |

The language filters as they are in place are a very drastic measure to ensure that people from smaller communities can hold a conversation in their native language without being flooded with other languages. It obviously does a lot of collateral damage since most people don't actually visit communities other than the one of their own country and since some percentage of those that do actually speak the language. However, it is the lesser of two evils. For the game it is better to silence people speaking different languages than to have them scare off players of smaller communities. Because this kind of filtering is something that's only being done if absolutely necessary, it's only applied on smaller communities. It doesn't currently happen on the bigger ones (yes TR is a big community) because there's simply very little chance that foreign languages take over rooms there. I am not saying that that is a fair approach, but it more or less is the reasoning behind the status quo. I do really hope that at some point this system becomes more flexible, but I would only support expanding these filters to every community (it would be more fair but probably lead to more complaints) if we would be able to manually make exceptions based on whether someone is fluent in the language required in the community they want to talk in. |

I still don't get totally how those filters works, since i can speak in almost all servers but other players can't :-\ Is it related to being part of a small community per se or that the blocked communities are the biggest? |
