soooo sorry it took two flippin days! I'm going to be busy. since school's starting for me on around August the 10th. and also i keep forgeting some awesome stories for this 'book'. like my brain says 'hey! how about blah blah blah?' and i say 'yes! that's perf!' then it shuts down on me. but yesh, chapter 5! :'D

The Sleepover

“Another day of school, no doubt about it,” I muttered. “But something will be revealed.”
As I walked towards my friends—except Nick, he wasn’t there. Which made the situation a lot more easier—who were just talking, as usual, then when I came close enough, Darky noticed me.
“Hey, Mari!” Darky greeted cheerfully.
“Hi,” I said.
“So, there’s something you need to tell us, Carmel?” Nook asked. “I know you, all of us do. You have something to say, right?”
“Yes, of course,” I replied. “I’m going to have a sleepover at my place and I was hoping you guys would come.”
Darky had this grumpy look on his face. “I don’t do sleepovers! There for girls!”
Well, Darky’s making this hard. I told myself.
Maddison turned toward him. “You hang out with girls, Dark.” she told him. “So why don’t you go to sleepovers? Not all sleepovers are for girls.”
Darky rolled his eyes. “Yeah. Sure, whatever. Anyways, what will be there? Will there be chocolate? Cake?”
I hesitated. I should’ve thought about that.
“Yes, there will be chocolate,” I told him slowly.
He slightly looked more interested. “All right, but there will be no makeovers. I’m not dressing up as a girl.”
Maddison crossed her arms and scoffed. “Same here, dude. I’m not a girly either. Not like my sister.”
“And Maddison, can you bring your sister?” I asked.
Maddison looked very surprised. “What? Why? She’s going to be all happy and hyper. My mom won’t like it.”
“But you can make Daisy behave, right?”
“Well, yeah, but still, she’ll still be hyper.”
“Well, I think it’ll be fine. Don’t worry.”
“‘Don’t worry’, that’s what they all say.” she muttered under her breath.
“So, who else will be there?” Nook asked.
“A girl name Alice Hearth.” I told her.
“Wait, who?” Darky asked.
“Alice Hearth,” I repeated. “She’s quite unique.”
Nook twitched her ear. “Isn’t she rich? Like rich rich? You’ve seen that diamond on her tail.”
“She’s kinda rich,” I corrected. “Anyway, she’ll be there at my sleepover.”
“And who else? Will Nick be there, too?” Maddison asked.
“No,” I said firmly.
“No?” She looked surprised again. “But he’s your friend!”
Darky groaned. “I guess I’ll be the only boy there, won’t I?” he muttered miserably.
“Alice said that she doesn’t want him there,” I said.
Maddison looked like she was about to rage and punch someone. “So this . . . Alice doesn’t want Nick to be there for no reason?! He’s your—!”
“He’s bullying her, Maddy!” I snapped. “She doesn’t want to be bullied somewhere she wants to go!”
“But—” Maddison was interrupted by Nook.
“She’s right, Maddy.” Nook told her. “If she’s getting bullied by Nick, then let her have at least peace from him.”
Maddy huffed. “Fine.”
“Great,” I clapped my hands together. “So, we’ll all be there?”
“Yes.” they said in unison.
Then the bell rang.
“Shit! Shit! Shit!” Maddy ran fast like lightning. “I’m going to be late!”
We all looked at her as she ran until she disappeared from sight.
“So,” Nook turned to look at all of us. “See ya’, guys,”

I was in my house, waiting patiently for the others to arrive. I heard a knock on my door and opened it. Alice was the first one to be at my ‘sleepover’.
“Hi,” I greeted.
“Hello,” she greeted back.
“Come in, make yourself at home.” I told her.
“Thanks.”
She walked in my house and landed on the couch. I sat with her.
“Are the others coming or what?” she asked me.
“Oh, there coming, don’t worry.” I told her.
“Okay. And, um, how did you find out they all had powers?”
I chuckled a bit. Then responded, “Because they stand out more, Maddison told me once that she sees things that others don’t see, Darky told me about an incident he had about lighting himself on fire and didn’t get damaged by it, Nook told me about a prank she thought would be funny on a popular girl getting mud all over her by tripping on a rock. She said that a paper bag the girl was going to step on turned into a rock, and the girl fell on the mud. And Maddison also told me about her sister ‘charm-speaking’ to a friend. Daisy wanted some milk and cookies, and her friend did it. She said that Daisy’s friend does not take kindly of obeying little kids, Even her own friend. Actually, her friend never served a kid who was younger than her. But she did serve Daisy. These stories they all told me were very supernatural.”
“All right,” she said. “So what’s your power?”
“Changing the weather,” I replied.
“Oh, okay, well, mine’s turning into a demon,” I looked at her, I was scared. She took noticed and quickly said, “N-no no, you got it wrong! I have the will to! I only use it for certain things, and attacking people is not one of them.”
“Oh,” I chuckled nervously, “that’s good.”
A knock came from the door.
“Come in,” I called.
“Hey, where is everybody?” a familiar male voice asked. It was Darky.
“Hello,” Alice said nervously.
“Oh, hi,” Darky greeted her. “You must be Alice, right? The kind-of rich girl Mari said?”
“Yes, that’s me.” she said.
“Well, nice to meet you.”
“Hello? Anybody here?” Nook skipped into the room, with her blanket and pillow.
“Well, of course, Nook,” Maddison told her. “I mean, you heard Mari say ‘come in’ didn’t you?”
“Oh, I’m so excited!” squealed Daisy. “A sleepover! I wonder if we’re doing makeovers!”
Darky turned quickly and said, “No, please. I’m a dude. I don’t do makeovers.”
Daisy laughed. “Oh, that would be so funny to see you wearing makeup!”
“Good, we’re all here,” I said.
“So where’s the chocolate? You said it would be here.” Darky said.
“Oh, about that . . . there’s no chocolate, or a sleepover.” I said.
“WHAT?!” Daisy screeched. “No sleepover?! You lied to us?!”
“I had to! There’s something you need to know . . .”

OK. Before you say, "I ship Nick and Maddy so hard!!" because of Maddy defending Nick (and trust me, i met shippers that ship things that do heart-warming things like defending someone.) I'm going to say that IT WILL NOT BE A CANNON IN THIS STORY! ok, you may do little doodles of the ship, but plz dont take it seriously. buuuuut im going to say....

also wow that was quick! but dont stress yourself trying to make a chapter, heck i dont mind waiting a couple of days(since i know schools gonna start for u very soon). and i like how long it is :D but if you think its quite a bit you can make them shorter :)

I'm on Fire?

". . .the point is that you all have powers."
The room gone silent for several minutes.
My left eye twitched, I have never heard so much craziness in my whole life. First I got tricked, then I have been told i got powers! what the hell . . .?
"Mari, care to explain how we got powers?" I asked. "I mean, these. . . i guess gifts we got, how did we get them? they shouldn't just appear out of nowhere."
Marissa smiled slowly, very rare to see the girl smile. "You were born with these powers, you know." she told me.
"Wait, what—?" Nook started to say.
"You know as well as I, Mari, that you're talking crazy." Maddison chirped in.
"Yes, I know, Maddison, but you got to believe me," Marissa sighed. "These powers have been living with us ever since we were born. I never believed powers were real, but ever since I was in junior high I changed. I changed the weather with my anger, and people around me avoided me, looking at me like I was a psycho. I never knew what I did back then, but I know now."
"So, you're telling me that I was born with this demon inside me? That's fantastic!" Alice said with sarcasm.
Carmel shook her head. "That's a different story," she told Alice. "Something I have no idea about."
"For cheese's sake!" I groaned. "Are we going to stay here and chitchat and do nothing but talking about our magic?"
"Wait—I have magic?" Daisy's eyes sparkled. "Oh my gosh! Yes! Now watch me do some awesome rainbow magic!" she tried to summon rainbows with her mind.
This kid is so annoying, I thought.
"Daisy, this isn't time for silliness," Maddison scolded her.
"But—"
"Your sister's right, you know." Alice told her.
Daisy huffed. "Fine. Have it your way." She muttered.
"So, since you guys don't 100 percent believe me," Mari said, "then let me show you something from our friend here." she pointed at me.
"Wait, what are you going to do?" I asked and slowly backed away from her.
"Alice, a match, please," Marissa told the horned girl.
"What are you— oh, okay." she grabbed a pack of matches, grabbed one, and tossed it to Mari.
Oh no, she's going to light me on fire! panic started to bubble in me.
"Marissa! What in the world—?!" Nook started to shriek as a tiny flame sparked. Marissa threw it at my fur, and the flame started to spread.
i screamed like a little girl—well, not really, you know what I mean—and ran in circles and yelled, "GET WATER! GET WATER!".
Daisy couldn't stop laughing, and the others were panicking—except Carmel and Alice.
Five minutes went by.
"Okay, I think we have enough of the fire, Mari." Alice told her.
"Oh, right," she unexpectedly summoned a small rain cloud. The cloud started to rain on me and put the fire out—thank goodness.
I was perfectly fine, no burnt spots, except water all over me.
I sighed. "Tell me, Marissa," I began. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!"
Daisy was still laughing like crazy. "Oh! That was hilarious! Can you do that again?" she said between laughs.
Marissa ignored Daisy. "Because I wanted to show you that you have a power to be immune to fire." she said.
"Couldn't you at least let Alice show hers?!" I asked.
"Then you would think she's a monster and not equal." she said in a matter-of-factually way.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."
"All right, all right, Marissa, you got us to believe," Nook caught her breath. "Now tell all of us what our powers are?"
"Okay," Marissa began. "Maddison's power is to see very odd things that a normal mouse can't see, Daisy's is charm-speaking to people, yours is making illusions, like tricking people into seeing ghosts or whatever, Darky's—well, you know his. Alice's is turning into her demon form, and mine is changing weather."
" 'Kay," Daisy looked confused. "Um, I don't mean to sound rude but—is this witchcraft or magic? that's what all I want to know."
"neither, actually," Alice answered. "It's just your powers, they're just there to protect people."
"But in comics, villains also have powers, as well," I reminded her.
Maddy sighed. "That's one thing I never thought could happen," she muttered, then looked very serious, "So, this road we're taking, Nick's on the wrong side, isn't he?" Marissa nodded sadly. "But we can help him, right?"
"Maddy, I don't think—" Mari began.
"We can help him, right?" she repeated her question. "He's been my friend ever since we were little kids! I can't fight him, can I?"
"I guess we can try and save him, but don't think he will choose our side instantly."
"Okay, can we go now?" Daisy asked.
"Yes, it's almost midnight," Marissa responded, "We all need rest for tomorrow. Sadly, since we talked so much, we didn't have time to train. But tomorrow's Friday, right? so we can train for the weekends and such."
We all nodded in agreement. "Seems fair," Maddison said.
"Then it's settled," Alice said, "tomorrow night we begin training."

but yesh i hope ya enjoyed this silly lil chapter,

yes, they will be updates. im just thinking if i want Nick's or anyone's POV yet. Im thinking about doing Nick's, but i dont know what to write. so, right now i have writers block. WHICH SUCKS. and having school keeps me from writing as well. but my class im in does free-write when we have time. so i will be doing chapters in school and copying them onto here. but yet i have writers block. :I
but when i dont have writer block i will do more chapters.so keep that in mind :>

Loyalty in Thee

I was in the mansion. It was glorious still, same black marble i have seen. All decorated with weapons, books, and fake skeletons—or at least, i think they were fake. I was practicing with the King with battling. He said if i am loyal to him, i will have obstacles to prove i am loyal. I didn't know what he meant, but it seemed serious. So, i was going to prove my loyalty to him. I was determined to prove i am loyal, but i needed to practice my moves.
We were using swords, long, black blades with a red dragon handle on each sword. I swear the dragon handles looked creepy, but cool a the same time.
The King was trying to slice me (but i know he didn't do it on purpose), and was aiming right at my chest. He charged and i dodged, remembering all the things he told me.
Keep your eye on your opponent. See what will they do, then surprise them with a blow.
I kept my eyes on him, he was charging at me again.
When they are close enough, dodge.
He tried to slice my head off, but i dodged. Now it was my turn.
When trying to attack with a sword, you must see the weaknesses and when the opponent will be off-guarded when they dodge, some will not look at you in the eyes when they dodged. Others are harder . . .
I swung my sword straight at his side, he dodged and was not looking at me. I knew this was my chance and went for it. I surprisingly sliced his left ear. He looked like he was suppressing a shriek of pain, but i tried to think it was a trick. I went for his side again, and surprisingly i cut it a little.
"Very good, Mr. Grey," he said with a smile, "very good."
"Thanks," I said. "So, what's next?" I defeated that Sita girl.
Oh wait, now i'm talking about that girl?
Yep. I am.
Sita looked kind of pretty in my opinion—but probably hot for some guys, but since she has a diamond replacing one of her eyes, some guys might rethink that—but i will tell you now that she is very wicked. She is like those popular girls at school, pretty with an attitude. She's always boasting about stuff. I don't really like that. I would like a girl like Maddison, kind-hearted, smart, pretty—oops, ignore that—and well, a nerd.
"You will have your first obstacle tomorrow." he said.
"Oh," that was all i could say. I was too excited to say anything. "What's the obstacle?"
"You'll soon find out," he said with a grin, "very soon."
