Perhaps someone says "hi" to you in chat, but you're wall-jumping and will die if you reply. Doing a quick wave emoticon would be useful, there! Happened to me several times.

asides that, i personally think its unnecessary. might as well use a high5 emote which works quite well too. /half support

This is completely different from the High5 emote. While High5 is a motionless emote "Wave"
will have it's hands waving.
