Look I finally got off my ass to write go read it XD A Journey To Midan Summit The cold wind whipped around the gathered mice. A white-furred mouse stared into nothingness, but he was worried for his guild, his heart clenching with dread. Something told him there were other players - or NPCs - here, besides his guildmates. He studied his gauntlets absentmindedly, his thoughts concerning other matters. "Hex." The Psychic Tracer looked up, meeting the green eyes of Hayari Koshuya. "Yes?" "The path ahead - as far as I've gone - is clear." Addex nodded his approval. "Hex. I'm worried." "About what?" "I can't shake the feeling that we're being watched." Addex felt a chill go down his spine, but it might've been from the cold. He placed a paw on the Ninja's shoulder. "Me, too, Blaze." Turning his gaze to rest on the small group of guildmates he'd brought and clearing his throat, he spoke. "Blazing has returned. The path ahead is clear. However, keep an eye out. Monsters are always around, and who knows when PK Guilds will show up." Jake grinned. "As if any players would try to fight the developer's son." Addex rolled his eyes. "Despite my own strength, there are stronger players than me. If push comes to shove, the strongest in the guild - Emperor, Stitch, Wolf, and myself will defend the others. If we are attacked by a PK Guild, use a Teleport Crystal and get back to the Guild Hall." He surveyed his guildmates - his friends - and smiled. "I promise you, no one in my guild is going to get hurt." Everyone cheered quietly, smiles upon their faces - all except for Gabriel, Gray, and Tonix. They almost never smiled, and all of them had heard the same speech time upon time again. However, it's been a month since they'd gone out with their Guild Master, so they could see the difference in occasion. -=- A little while later, the group was jumped. Sending the weakest to the back, Addex glared at his opponent. It was none other than the Royal Guard, here to capture him once again and lock him away. "Not this time, you brutes!" Gray snarled, leaping forward with dual blades in hand. One of the guards knocked him away effortlessly, sending him flying. He hit a nearby tree with a thump and was knocked unconscious. Addex was angered, it was in the pits of his lavender eyes. Disdain, hatred... pity. They weren't programmed to be like this. The Royal Guard were supposed to stay at the King's side and protect him, not capture the players that the King sees dangerous. He'd helped his father program the game - he knew this. Their attack patterns, how to avoid them - but they were too strong. One of the Guard stepped forward. Addex brought his gauntlets up in preparation for a fight, but two others snatched him up by the arms, leaving him defenseless. He let out a small, pitiful wail as the first guard draped chains on his shoulders, weighing him down, disabling movement. A fourth guard picked up the unconscious Gray, and they all vanished. Strife's knees buckled, and he fell forward, landing in a faceplantish manner on the ground. He felt dizzy. "Hatter?" Melanie called out worriedly, dashing over to her foster brother and picking him up. "Someone help me over here. We've got to get back to the Guild Hall and think of a plan to get Wolf and Hex back." Gabriel sighed, shaking his head, and padded over to help the worried girl, his tail swishing through the snow. Tonix looked toward the sky, brushing his dark, gray-violet hair from his eyes. "...Tomorrow is another day." |

Writer's Block is an asshole- I finally fixed my keyboard, so I celebrated by writing a sidestory about what happens while Addex and Gray are in prison plot twist intensifies also, written from Addex's POV The cell was dry, like the last time I was here. Gray and I were in the same cell, but it was dreadfully boring, and the guards outside weren’t much for conversation. Gray talked to me occasionally, and we were stripped of our weapons, so magic was the only solution to escape. Too bad we didn’t have any of that - besides my Psychokinesis and Psy Blades, (Which I couldn’t access without my gauntlets,) that is - but I didn’t want to risk anything. It was another day droning by. I was sure that by now the guild had some kind of plan. I could sense other players’ health bars depleting in the prison, and it sent a twinge of guilt through my gut. This prison was meant for monsters and hackers. Instead, almost a thousand players were lined through the bars, all usernames visible within our sight range. There was a Rogue Class, with username “Scourge”, Warrior; “Shadow98675”, Sorceror; “FireMage”, and so on. Whenever a player died, they respawned in their cell. I don’t see how, nor why, all of them are here. If a non hacker is sent to the prison, they should automatically get out within ten days or less, unless there’s a bug in the programming. I heard footsteps; chains clanking against the ground in a rhythmic pattern. The King came into view. Instead of the original programmed look for the King of Cheese Wars, I saw a familiar face. Too familiar. My breath was hoarse as I spoke, my tail twitching involuntarily. “D-Dad?” He turned to me, his eyes lighting with amusement. “Addex? Quite a surprise. I was sure you wouldn’t get caught again.” He shot a glance at Gray. “I see you’ve brought a little friend?” I hated the amused tone of my father’s voice, the casual conversation as his son was placed behind bars. I glared at him. “You know we programmed the Royal Guard to be stronger than level 110, which is ten levels above the limit. What the hell are you doing here?” The last part sounded more like a statement than a question. Laughter danced in his dark-gray gaze as he stared at me. “Why else would I be? To enjoy life as a King, my son! That’s why you’re all trapped here. I made a special program, and now I rule over our game. My game.” My breath hitched in my throat, almost disabling breathing. I wondered if I wanted to anymore. “Why? Why all this? Why put me behind bars? Why rule as a king here, in the game we worked so hard on? Why ruin it all?…” I could feel the faint trickle of tears and hated myself for it. Stop crying, you idiot. He reached his paw through the bars, stroking the side of my face as gently as a mother would her child. It was a facade, because despite the kindness, the pitiful look, his eyes danced with amusement and laughter. I dropped to the floor as he pulled himself away, feeling small and defeated. I hope the guild saves us soon… ...Because I’m beginning to wonder if I can keep moving forward. Dernière modification le 1450984740000 |

I've nothing to say here Jailbreak... Two? Addex was curled against the wall, occasionally earning concerned glances from his guildmate. "Hex? You're pretty shaken. Is everything alright?" Addex shook his head but refused to speak. Gray shrugged, returning his gaze to the bars and jail cells beyond. Addex was... something similar to "broken" ever since the king visited. Sure, they look similar - but there's just no way they were related... right? Gray thought, glancing once again at his guild master. Or maybe they are. That would explain why Addex is so broken. A crash from the ventilation shafts in the hall interrupted his thought process. It's about time, you guys. Gray thought with a chuckle, standing up and peering through the metal bars that kept himself and Addex locked away. Jake glanced around the room, eventually finding his guildmates' cell. He ran over, excited to see them, but not showing it. "Dark and Soul are getting your weapons back." Addex, finally up from the corner, nodded. "Good." Then, when he noticed Strife unlocking multiple other cells, questioned, "What is he doing?" "What does it look like, genius? He's getting the other players out." "Er... Right." Jake broke the lock from the cell door, allowing it to swing open. Hayari knocked out a guard nearby as they ran towards the entrance. There weren't many guards out, Gray noted, as they dashed through the damp corridors. "Where's No- I mean, Sapphire?" Addex breathed, glancing at Jake as they neared the main entrance, and scrunched his mouth up slightly when he realized he'd almost used her real name. "At the guild hall, with Diva." Jake replied, brandishing his main dagger, a weapon called "Bleach," as the guards at the doorway tried to stop them. He quickly knocked them out, then motioned for the rest of the guild - who'd joined them by now - to hurry up and leave. They complied, filing out of the prison entrance like a swarm of bees. They ran for a while, and only stopped once they were sure they'd distanced themselves enough. It was only after a minute that Addex leaned against the tree, his mind spinning with questions that might never recieve an answer. Tears began to trickle down his face again at the memory of his father's amusement at his being locked away, at the knowledge that he was the only one who could stop his father from keeping everyone trapped in the game, at the wonder and question if he could possibly do it all in the only way he knew would be possible... ...Killing his father. He didn't know any other way to fix it. He was devastated at the thought, but if there was no other way to free his friends... Addex shook his head, wiping the tears from his eyes and starting towards the Guild Hall. "C'mon. I think this event calls for a celebration?" -=- At the Guild's Party Nozomi stared in Addex's direction, her gaze concentrated. His lovely violet eyes were troubled and haunted. Hex... why won't you talk to me? She wondered, her heart filled with a sense of dread. "Lighten up, will you? It's a party." Nozomi jumped, surprised by the appearance of Hayari, who usually didn't say much. Her green eyes were filled with amusement. "Jumpy, huh?" Nozomi gulped, wondering how long she'd been watching her. "Yeah. I was just thinking about how awkward Hex is right now. He's just... acting weird. It's troubling." "Don't worry yourself with him. Like all of his problems, he'll get over it. He's good at that, don'tcha think?" Nozomi laughed slightly and smiled. "Yeah. He broke out of prison on his own, He created this guild to get us all out of this game..." She trailed off, her eyes locking onto Addex's own lavender ones. "He's definitely determined, is what I'm trying to say." Hayari smiled. "...and he won't let anyone stop him. Stop us." |
