I personally find the elections pointless, a lot of people that become president just joke around with it and if someone actually become president that have serious questions the admins don't really care for the result. The elections won't change anyhing with tfm, won't make mods add or remove anything. In case you now really don't want to remove elections, could you at least do it so that only the people who enter the election gets the voting message.

Yeah it was always a stupid idea. Every poll I've seen the 'president' do is completely idiotic like 'VOTE YES FOR FREE FURS!' or they use the same selections for every slot.

Plus it causes people to spam for themselves or friends to be voted for like it does anything.

Tig should be more worried about the CP crashing every couple of hours and work on that instead of wasting time on such stupid things like this.

15 min ago the br server president used the referendum to spam a facebook group dedicated to steam frauds(isn't the first that that the user is punished by this)

There are better things they could work on or improve.

The elections are used to more involve actual Transformice users in moderating jobs, so that the users might feel more connected and involved with helping support the website. It doesn't focus on actual serious improvements on the game as much as it focuses on involving users and having fun with the job of helping out.

While real admins make serious improvements, the president can help make minor improvements (ie. lowering prices, changing the gender colours), which also helps.

By that logic, I don't think the entire election itself needs to to be removed, but I do think that the presidents being elected should be supervised so we don't get stupid fucking presidents like Deskdrawer.

i don't actually think it is a bad system/update it is just for fun... but it depends on the people who abuse this power they should get punished.
But people sometimes use it as a suggestion,So the admins might take that as an idea to work on in the coming future



i only use this update only for trolling such as writing random stuff , and i don't even end up winning

I couldn't give a single fuck about the election system, but there are some people who enjoy it, so there's no reason to remove it.
If you don't like it, just don't use it. Don't vote, don't run for mayor, don't participate in the polls, etc.
It's not like it hurts anybody. It's not required for anything. It's completely optional.
It's like asking to remove fraises because you don't like them.
