Should tfm make an anime event?

Gonna agree with others here. It would be pretty stupid to make an event only to satisfy the small amount of people who like anime and just throw the other people to the side.

I can't say I'm obsessed with anime, but I've enjoyed various series for over ten years. I also, however, understand that people have differing opinions. As well, how would an anime event work? What genre? Much like American media, anime has various genres and subtypes. Would it be like Attack on Titan, as Betelgueze suggested? A magical girl event?
There's too many variables.
Also a cosplay fur can't be done because of copyrights.
Finally, it's just kinda rude to the Japanese players. Their culture is far more than just anime but many players don't realise that. That's why an event celebrating actual Japanese culture (Hinamatsuri, although passed, Obon etc) would be far better.

As much as I enjoy anime, I'm saying no.
Not everyone on Transformice is into anime/manga, and some of the community members actually hate it. If you were meaning it to be a Japanese culture event, sure. But strictly based on anime and/or Japanese stereotypes? Nah.

Hair and fur based off anime characters would be nice, but sadly it's not exactly going to happen.

I don't see why not. If there are more variety of events, then it's a very good idea since there are tons of different anime genre and stuff. I don't get some community members hate anime. it's like saying you hate something because it's made in Japan, isn't that discrimination? If it's a yes, then should tfm practice discrimination? The answer is definitely no.

Uhh.. I don't think cosplay on mice is such a big issue that it could result in copyright claim.

hi yes if you're using something that is copyright/known to an anime (ie: attack on titan costumes, kill la kill, etc) and sell the fur for fraises that is copyright. same reason there aint a pikachu fur.

Discrimination is not a good thing, but saying you don't like anime and/or that you hate it isn't discrimination. It's called having an opinion.

If a portion of people hating it becomes the reason why tfm shouldn't have anime events, then it is discrimination. Well, it would be a different story if there are huge number of people voted no but judging from the current number of votes, to dismiss the idea over such a narrow margin may not be the right thing to do.
