if you don't want strangers seeing your profile, you can just set it to "friends only" or "private" in steam privacy settings so even if this was implemented, they can't see your stuff

I actually like this idea!

But make it so that we can enable/disable this, and if we enable it, only other people who are logged in from Steam can see the steam icon/link on our profile
