| The possibility of this happening is slim to none because a majority of the playerbase joined the game roughly after 2014 compared to the years before, meaning that most of the players are more accustomed to today's standards of the game rather than back then. Take a look at the current situation of vanilla -- you have so much empty vanilla rooms because most people were so reliant on skills that they just stopped playing that gamemode all together. Now if you were to take away skills completely since skills were not apart of the old days of Transformice, you can most likely bet your house mortgage that a huge chunk of the playerbase will quit, leaving the administrators in a bad place to repair the game from. How about instead of always dwelling on current issues, we suggest and encourage a better tomorrow for the game. I know that the administrators rarely listen in my experience on the forum, however one thing we desperately need is more public insight from the administration team -- we need more of a connection with the administrator team through forum replies such as this, acknowledgement on known problems both here on the forum and other means (Discord, in-game chat, cafe) and most of all, listening to the playerbase. I am not going to be naive and pretend that they don't have their hands full with other things, however taking about a minute or two to write a 2 sentence response in a few forum discussions only makes things better, not worse. | Honestly, we need a throwback event where the layout turns old and no one is wearing anything for one map. It'll be for the anniversary of TFM, as a throwback to the good days, |

| Nah, there is nothing wrong with change. It might be strange and different at first but the things you mentioned are things worth getting use to, like the new interface. They changed it because it was bland, I hated the new one too but now I don't want it reversed. the fishing event was my first event ever, and I remember fishing every item and not having to pay for them, and as nice as that was they still need to make money. If people can buy items with fraises then its very helpful, I don't see anything wrong with that. And the community hasn't changed to me since the day I registered, there has ALWAYS been rude angry people. Im not here saying Im okay with all the changes that have happened, just the ones you mentioned are not a big deal. |

| /dontsupport Leave it as it is. The post was sort of all over the place, but I did notice a pattern of things that everyone seemed to bring up and while I can’t speak for 2010, what I have heard was that it consisted of vanilla maps only and was slightly basic in its design, which was a great starting point, but had it stayed that way entirely and never grew into anything or evolved with the times, it wouldn’t have lasted long. You, yourself admitted people that you knew who began during the initial release left it, but you stayed because you enjoyed it and here you are today, still enjoying it. You’re expecting the developers to disregard every new thing they’ve implemented, even additions they’ve made at the request of other players, just to satisfy your taste for nostalgia of circa 2010. That’s like a kick in the face. It’s no longer a new game and being given to a small audience of indie game players. To touch on some of what has been said - Transformice has always and will continue to be, a highly competitive game full of angry people that often gets taken too seriously. There were massive ego trippers in the day and even now. That’s just the reality of it. It’s a game and everyone likes to flash their natural skills and be the best. For example, in 2012, there was that whole slam with nearly the entire BR community who used shared public accounts taking the #1 position on the CFM leaderboard away from ( a well known player whose name I won’t mention.) That caused a lot of original players to leave or not play regularly. It was terrible. There’s always someone complaining about fraises and I can’t understand why. First, how someone chooses to spend their money shouldn’t bother you. The second reason is, circa 2010 didn’t have all these new furs to begin with, so … why be upset? Choosing to gather cheese vs buying fraises isn’t a bad thing. There’s some items that can only be bought exclusively with cheese (element furs, Lenneth’s helmet.) Collector items are currently on sale right now and they can be bought with fraises or cheese. They could turn those into cheese only later down the line.. Possibilities are limitless there, but I have NEVER seen an item offered on TFM that had to be bought exclusively with real life money. To me, that makes TFM a rare gem in the gaming community. Everything can be gotten via cheese and it’s easy to get too, I mean c’mon. The proceeds of the money from buying fraises is used for maintenance and upgrades on the site (like bandwidth for example) and believe it or not, the $5-$20 helps keep TFM free to play and most importantly, ad free. So, I can’t say it’s gone commercial, not at all. Let’s not get TFM confused with Neo. I’m not experiencing insane lag from an “old game” - unless it’s the introduction of a new map (like the survivor Christmas one for example. It was buggy and a little laggy because it was new, but within a few days, that was fixed.) No issue. There was some glitches with the CP going down while they were updating their interface, but it got sorted out as well. Inventory items (throwables) are amazing. It’s nice to have an option to be able to help out a new sham or another mouse, but they can’t full on replace a shaman entirely, especially if a sham has no choice but to build at some point in order to get to the cheese or the hole. It’s all in how they’re used. Back in the day, the only one that could troll was the sham with an anvil god. Yeah, players talked about the trolling in the room 10/10 room ban. Cafe and Village are the reason rooms are seemingly silent these days, not because players are leaving due to expected game upgrades.I’ve seen 40+ players in village at one time, with three different village based rooms and the cafe is always going. All of the rooms I’ve been in, for the most part, have been plenty chatty. Recycled events may have been annoying, but in each one, they have offered new cartouches, badges, and titles. So it’s not as if they’ve not given anything new to any of the players. I finally got my Fairy Lights title and feel satisfied. I like the fact that the events stretch out longer. It gives me a chance to actually finish them since I can’t be on constantly. It’s cool that Tig realizes people have lives and can’t play 24/7 to finish it in three days like some can. Maybe that was this year’s theme: Nostalgia. They disabled the skills in Vanilla and for all we know, TFM could be in for some major changes next year. ---- I have to agree with some of what other people have said though. It’s not the game itself that’s the problem, but the community. The game has garnered a new generation of players from everywhere and expanded. Social media outlets, youtube, all of those things have made an impact on Transformice and with the influx of younger players, the maturity level has changed as well, it’s not as balanced. It’s a new kind of angry. I can remember when Tig, Mel, and Sydoline all played. It was great that the admins actually took part in the gameplay and enjoyed it alongside their player base and I can only wish that they did it more, but life. Hey, it happens. So to me, when people they want it like it used to be, not some much gameplay, but a chill semi-angry community. At least, that’s how I take it but y’know…. TL;DR You could always just… Go to any vanilla room. ./nue Original at it’s finest. Dernière modification le 1513286520000 |

| It'd be pretty cool if they did something this anniversary as a throwback to the old tfm, not just granting x2 xp/cheese again. |
