This has issues. According to what a mapcrew said

It is possible, a few years ago we edited every survivor XML to spawn the totem off screen and prevent shams from using totems (before they were removed)
But it ended up causing a bunch of problems for some reason, new players weren't able to finish the tutorial (??? No idea how that happened)

Also a recent experiment with lua with this object by a player caused the room to crash. (Not sure about the reasons, but maybe when there is no shaman, or some other things relatated with sync player)
