although i find them annoying and stupid you can't really make rules on how to play this game, some people will kill themselves if a shaman has a bridge totem but nobody is here complaining about that. some people will have 100000 divine mode saves and don't know how to build without big planks and nobody is telling them to not. anyone want to talk about how any of this would actually be in practice? sure having less brazilians in the english server would be nice but it would kill this game even more. a much better suggestion would be putting rounds in profiles, would encourage them to actually git gud

edit: after i posted i remembered that skills were removed in vanilla and it was met with A LOT of backlash and all the vanilla rooms had been emptied, so it has been tested before. just think of that

I'm not sure whether most of that stuff is enforceable but... OP is RIGHT and they should SAY IT. Public rooms are full of toxic players who ruin gameplay and/or make the chat unbearable, and I sometimes end up blacklisting most of the room - making it still annoying when people are still responding to them. I swear it didn't used to be this bad. Anyone who doesn't mind it either DOES it or they have an enviably high tolerance level. Kudos to you. Some people who love the game but hate the community aren't as lucky. The sad part is part of the reason I stuck with this game so long was because of the community. It's fun to play with and talk to other people. Now I get fed up most of the time unless it's an unusually peaceful room or I'm CF-ing with friends.

I'm not bitching, just giving the facts. This is what it is. Regardless if people think OP is being a little aggressive, they shouldn't brush it aside and be condescending as if nothing they say is valid. Because that's not true.

Even something as simple as a nub shaman ballooning mice to the hole would get them accused of favoring. Would they be punished for being accused of doing such a thing, especially when they never intended to "favo." I think banning favoring is a bit ridiculous.

I support the idea, but realistically it's not enforceable, not from a moderators perspective. This kind of stuff is on the players to deal with, which is why the /ban command exists in the first place. What this game needs is better visibility of the vote kick command. Right now the only way to access it is by typing /ban name#0000, and beyond that there is zero visibility for the command.

we know when the shan is nub cuz he makes balloon for everybody. favos are different cuz they make ice, teleport and balloon only for favo. think its easy to understand..

Favoritism is incessant. They already said it was allowed in the rules. Favoing has been around before skills, but it's been really easy for Brs or people in relationships to just get a bunch of free firsts by skills like "freeze", "teleport" and "instant baloon" all before anyone even touching the cheese. The increased spawn time and possible ping doesn't help either, I have found no ways as a mouse to combat favoers. I think TFM doesn't care about people favoing either, If I'm not in the mood, I usually enjoy playing in a room with <11 people who talk frequently. But those are really rare. But at least in that way there's a 0% a BR or favoer will join.

Really? Because it worked pretty well back in the day. A favo meant instant room ban when i actively played years ago.

The trolls and them are a bit annoying, but they keep this game alive

If everyone stops playing it, the game goes out of business

So sometimes I'm thankful for the trolls and stat padders, ect.

I know a lot of players know it exists. Everytime I see a favoer there is always someone to mentioned the voteban command and tells everyone to copy paste it and the username#XXXX. But nobody decides to use it anyway despite someone telling them to do so to rid of the user from the room.

Every time I go to a vanilla room or a regular sham room with a bunch of mice, I see the sham building to the cheese and to the hole (but not to the mice) and then teleporting a specific player to allow them access to the cheese. After that specific player enters the hole, the sham then builds to the mice. It's really annoying and it's usually a bunch of people who have high stats due to all the favoring. So I am in full support of banning favorers. They make the game not fun.

A couple of years ago, I would have insta-/nosupport'd the hell out of this topic, but now I actually agree that favoers are annoying as hell. It's not fun at all to play with people who take away what could have been your first. It's also not fun at all when the shaman doesn't build at all. Many people are fine with favos, but I'm pretty sure it's also subconsciously driving them away from playing in public rooms.

I feel that ever since the implementation of shaman skills people have been able to favo easily, hence why it increased recently. Before shaman skills, they often tried to balloon them and usually someone else caught the balloon first, which was really hilarious to watch. Maybe if they nerfed teleport and freeze before anyone enters the hole, this would drastically decrease favos. This would also be great, since favos are very hard to report in comparison with fly or teleport hacks.

I'm fine with trolling though, as long as it doesn't kill the whole room. They're fun to watch and those who survive deserve the cheese.

It's such a simple change that seems blatantly obvious to do considering you cant use the hole skill until a mouse is in the hole already
