Q:1 Why did you apply for the role of Moderator?
I really wanted to assist the game and the EN community. It's been something that Ive wanted to do since I joined back in 2011, but I wasn't old enough then.

Q2: How was your reaction when you saw that your form was approved by the Atelier801 team?
I was super ecstatic! I wasn't sure if I was going to be accepted or not, so when I saw I was, after waiting to hear back, it was so exciting!

Q3: What Is your favorite mode in the game?
When it comes to casual playing, I really like vanilla, however I also play bootcamp sometimes. I like the challenge!

Q4: Now, in 2023, do you think the game needs to evolve in the designers or leave it the way it is?
I think the game is what it is. I don't think we need to change anything massively on it. The players love it as it is today. I do like the small additions over time though, such as skill trees and divine mode.

Q5: What is your analysis of the conduct of current moderators?
I don't understand this question, but if you mean my thoughts on the current moderators Id say they're great! I worked with all of them and they all truly love the game and its players. Sometimes it may come across that moderators don't care or they don't want to help, but they do! You have to remember that there are MANY reports that they get, so they cannot assist everyone all at once.

Q6: Did you enjoy participating in Transformice events? What was your favorite?
I didn't get to do any special events with the moderation team, however I am in FunCorp and we've done some fun stuff there!

Q7: What is your favourite animal?
Red Panda!

Q8: Which player in the game you love the most?
I can't just choose one person, so I'll have to say Abilities#0010, Coatens#0010 and Liamxo#0010.They've been there for me and assisted with so many issues Ive had and I can't thank them enough.

Q9: What are your dreams for the future? What do you most like to do at the weekend?
I would love to go on a trip around the USA to visit all the national parks! I used to go to my local county and state parks on the weekends when I was younger and in high school, but now being in a big city and working a lot, I can't do that as much. Nowadays, Im just hanging out alone or with friends at our apartments/homes.

Q11: Did someone become your enemy if yes then who?
Sinnbie#0010 (jk) because they're a pro at bootcamp and I wish I could be as pro as them :( <- that part is true though

Q12: What is your favourite song and who is your favorite singer?
My favorite song currently is Praying by Kesha or High Horse by Kacey Musgraves. My favorite singer is either Lorde or Kacey Musgraves.

Q: Do you want to become something else if yes then what? ( for example a mapcrew moderator etc)
I really wanted to be Mapcrew, but Im just not good enough with map editor and the entire map scene in general. I've typed up a few things before to apply but Ive deleted them all each time. (I applied once or twice YEARS ago, but I was denied then)

Q: Will you become the moderator again if you get the chance?
Im not sure. It was a great experience and I learned a lot, but it definitely isn't easy to do. If I become less busy in life again, perhaps Id consider reapplying.

A: I have always loved volunteer work, and I was originally a FunCorp member before I was a Moderator, so I feel like it was just a natural progression for me! I enjoy helping others.

Q2: How was your reaction when you saw that your form was approved by the Atelier801 team?
A: I was ecstatic! I couldn’t believe they actually wanted me as a Moderator, and I was super excited to start my new position. Then when I got to meet my staff family they were all so welcoming and it was like I had instantly became friends with all of them.

Q3: What Is your favorite mode in the game?
A: Vanilla! Or Divinity if modules count.

Q4: Now, in 2023, do you think the game needs to evolve in the designers or leave it the way it is?
A: Strictly design-wise? No. I think we should keep Transformice the way it is style wise. However, there are always new fun things we can implement in the game without risking the original look and feel of the game.

Q5: What is your analysis of the conduct of current moderators?
A: I’m a little contused by this question. However, my analysis on the team as a whole would be that even though most players don’t realize it, we work really hard at helping the communities even if we’re not in the game. There’s always discussions of how to improve our moderating, how to best communicate with you all and just overall us trying to build good relationships with the communities we moderate for so that you all can see we have your best interests at heart. We do not have any malicious intent, even though I do understand how it can feel that way, as even I have had my run-ins with some not so great mod teams (for other games). I think we are constantly growing and improving and I hope that is reflected in our behavior.

Q6: Did you enjoy participating in Transformice events? What was your favorite?
A: In-game events? Yes! I try my best to complete them all. My favorite is definitely the Valentine’s event.

Q7: What is your favourite animal?
A: Cows!

Q8: Which player in the game you love the most?
A: There are so many! But probably my best friend Delirium, I plan to meet her one day!

Q9: What are your dreams for the future? What do you most like to do at the weekend?
A: My dream is to become a NICU nurse; they work with babies that aren’t quite ready to be in the world on their own yet. This weekend I’ll probably just relax but then I work on Sundays :’)

Q10: What is your name? Where do you live?
A: My name is Madie, and I’m from the USA (Ohio, specifically).

Q11: Did someone become your enemy if yes then who?
A: No, I don’t really have anyone that I’d say is my “enemy”. I try and get along with everyone.


Q12: What is your favourite song and who is your favorite singer?
A: My favorite solo singer is probably Anson Seabra, but band is AJR or Muse; and my current favorite song is probably Kill Bill by SZA.
Q: How did you deal with heavy criticism?
Bonus 1: I see criticism as a good thing; we as people are constantly improving and learning and growing, and as long as you can handle the fact that everyone is always going to have an opinion and that not everyone is going to like you, then you will be ok. I just try my hardest to be a little bit better than I was yesterday.

Bonus 2: I’d love to be a Sentinel or part of Flash Squad. I do miss being on Fashion Squad! I love making outfits.


Did you ever get rejected in applying to any staff member if yes then what was the reason and how did you felt when you saw that your not accepted?
Bonus 3: Nope! I have only ever applied to the one position and got accepted. It probably helps that I had never broken a rule though!

Q1: Why did you became a Mapcrew?

I wanted to join the Mapcrew team because like most of the members of our team, I had an interest in the map community and was frequently making maps at the time. I had joined Transformice a few years prior and since I was interested in the game even after a few years had passed, I thought that I would be interested in contributing more of my time in some way.

Q2: Do you want to be any staff member? If yes, then what and why?

As of now? I am not sure. My personal time is not yet stable enough for me to promise my time and effort elsewhere as that would be selfish. I do not have much skills to be in the other teams so I think the most logical would be to become a moderator if I ever had the desire to.

Q3: How did you get the idea to apply for Mapcrew?

I realized that I was the most interested in the map-making aspect of the game and had dedicated a lot of time to making such maps for the game and for my own personal satisfaction. I also liked other modes of the game such as bootcamp and #divinity... but what I noticed was that what drew my interest the most was making maps in the end. I knew that I could not join the Mapcrew since I was not yet 18 at the time, so I chose to become Votecrew instead and hoped to the future that I had a shot at making it!

Q7: You know someone that hates YOU In game?

I do not know if there is someone that hates me or not but there will always be someone that dislikes you in life for whatever reason they may have. I like to believe that life is similar to a double-sided coin in that while one side represents the idea that there will always be people out there that dislikes you, there will also be many individuals who will like you as well!

Q8: What are your favorite series, movies, etc

What a difficult question lol! I like to read a lot in general, whether the medium is through traditional books, Webnovels or Webtoons/ Manhwas. I like to consume mostly fantasy and science fiction so I think that eases the options down somewhat? If I had to pick some of my favorite series from traditional books then I would pick the Stormlight Archive from Brandon Sanderson and Red Rising series from Pierce Brown. Some of my favorite Webnovels and Webtoons would have to be The Beginning After the End, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Kidnapped Dragons and a few more that I can't think about off the top of my head.

I won't list some of my favorite anime and movies in order to keep things short, but I tend to read much more than I watch.

Q9: What series movies, etc do you hate the most?

I do not have a series that I hate since I have too many books and anime on my TBR for me to waste time on something that I disliked. I could say something controversial though haha. I could not finish Naruto and One Piece because they're boring to watch. Sue me!

Q1: Did you get accepted when you applied the first time? Or did you have to apply 4-5 times?

I was not knowledgeable enough to make it in one try unfortunately. I was eager to join the team but what I had yet to realize was that there is a difference between making maps and understanding what makes a good map and the reasons behind that. I had to make an application on three separate occasions and I was finally able to join the Votecrew on the third one after much more practice and improvement.

Q2: How were you feeling when you got accepted?

I remember that I experienced two emotions the most that day. I was excited because I spent a lot of time practicing and, in the end, it all paid off. I was also really nervous as well... I had never joined an "official" online staff team before this, especially one that was directly supported by their own developers! I did not want to mess up, but I realized that the team was supportive of its new members and spent a lot of time training me and expanding my knowledge to where I am today.

Q3: How much do you play Transformice In a day? Do you enjoy making maps?

Unfortunately, I do not have as much time as I used to have. Now that I am older and in the workforce, I find myself in a position where I have to balance the different hobbies and interests that I have in order to make sure that I do not fall behind too much. I like to come online when I can, but I am most active on Discord and in the Transformice Discord Server because it is a lot more mobile and accessible to me anywhere.

Q4: What are one of your maps that you like the most?

I like to make shaman and dual shaman maps the most! I think @7281632 would have to be my favorite because I would always get the most whispers in-game about this map and how much everyone hated being the shaman on it haha.
