There's a lot of problems with your red line as well, such as one arm being longer than the other. Otherwise, all you've done is traced over their art. |

A lot of these critiques are almost entirely opinion based. Ear size, feet size, tail styles etc. are style based |

I agree with Conwolf. For example, Icegirlypro's mouse's ears were hardly too small... It's okay to like to draw big ears, I certainly like to draw mice that way. But not everyone has to draw mice with big ears if they don't want to. I think the artists asking for advice here might appreciate more proportion/anatomy-based tips. I'll give it a go... For Toutankaman: I would make the body a bit more rounded and smooth. I love the face and ears right now because of those characteristics. I would also make the arms shorter as right now it appears as though they are longer than the mouse's legs. Maybe you could make the fingers a bit more defined too so they aren't just little brown nubs. For Icegirlypro: It's a little hard to tell if the eyes on your mouse are supposed to be closed or if her eyes are just solid black. Assuming they're supposed to be closed, I would make those lines a lot thinner and more even to make that clearer. Also, there are a few issues in regards to perspective here. With how you have the back ear placed, it looks like we should be viewing it straight-on like the front ear (therefore we should be able to see the pinkish tan inside part like with the front ear). If you want the ear to be facing in the opposite direction, I would move it up higher on the mouse's head. There is something funky going on with the back arm, too: since it's further back from the front arm it should be slightly shorter/thinner than the front arm. |

icegirlypro a dit : Hi hello -Your tail looks like it's placed too high, as if it's coming out of the spine. -The position on the left leg doesn't match the right leg. -The side braid should drape over the shoulder. To see what I mean look up some references. -Based on how this was drawn, we should see the front parts of the left ear -Left arm is larger than the right. -The torso looked a little long to me? It could be just me though :p Very cute drawing! Just the perspective and symmetry needed a bit of attention Dernière modification le 1428376260000 |

Mistalee a dit : the expression really throws me off. Why are her eyes closed? Why is she facing downwards? Why is she smiling like she's getting her picture taken? If she's running/jogging, she wouldn't be smiling, but instead be focused and possibly panting/breathing heavy, and staring straight ahead (or else you'd run into something). The left hands seems waaaayy too loose. Looks like she's about to take a hold of her hood and move it down. It should look more tense, like when someone clenches their fist. Clench your first (but not too tightly) and look at the back of your hand. |

I’d like to have some help in doing canine hind and forepaws I look at reference images, but it all still comes out so off and weird, so I thought I would ask for tips here The right is forepaws (Ignore any hinds there) and left is hind paws and legs Also, ignore any leg size. It’s probably off by too short or long in some sketches, but Im mainly worried about how it all looks and the size wont matter to me in these sloppy sketches (In an actual drawing I would try to make it more accurate?) unless length is important too on how the anatomy would work and whatnot Im mainly having problems with the paws, the joint where it turns over to the leg. It sometimes looks like I drew the paw too long or too short and then it all looks weird. Im not sure how to explain, but it really shows in the sketches tbh. Hopefully I just get some help overall Dernière modification le 1428558420000 |

Onnicka a dit : Not gonna go into details but. I can't tell which way it's facing. I guess I can assume its body is facing away because of the tail. If its body is facing away and its head is looking back, then the feed seem to be facing forward and towards us. Which is completely wrong and would hurt. |

Zakryah a dit : Thanks for the critique! And you asked me why she was smiling and well, she's supposed to be jogging/skipping around happily while trying to hold her hood down. |

griffincraft a dit : You really should look at pictures of canine legs/paws if you would like to improve. Hind legs look much different than what you drew here, as do front legs. When a dog sits or lies down, its legs still have the same bones and should be properly bent instead of the anatomy just disappearing. Your paws can be improved on by studying picture references as well. I would also suggest looking up close at canine legs and paws in real life at any opportunity you get. Looking at the skeletal structures of different breeds helps as well. |
