You can add <DC2 X="" Y="" /> to your XML between the <D> tag, like this one:
  • <C><P /><Z><S /><D><DC X="200" Y="200" /><DC2 X="600" Y="200" /></D><O /></Z></C>

Alternatively, you can type /lsmap in the Transformice chat to view your map codes.

Okay if you look at that, it's kinda obv what I'm trying to do, make an "elevator". I've been trying to educate myself on joints but it's really confusing and I can't really continue out of frustration. I'd like some guidance on what I'm doing wrong. I just need to figure this out so I can make a proper map.

Add mgoc="-1" in the P tag.
Here's an example.
<C><P mgoc="-1" /><Z><S><S L="800" H="50" X="400" Y="400" T="0" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" /></S><D /><O /></Z></C>

While you're in Viprin's art editor, you go to 'Settings' on the top and you go all the way down the menu to "Set L=1600." That option will make your map longer

Does anyone know why for the christmas lights in map editor (mice stuff, prop thing), in the preview it's dynamic, like it blinks multiple colors, BUT when you validate it either in game or in the editor the christmas lights turn stale. The lights don't blink anymore

It's been like that ever since it was implemented.

How to change the usual ground into ground timer?

Add v="" tag between the S and L ground tags. You can add any number you want between the double primes.
Here's an example
<C><P /><Z><S><S v="10000" L="125" H="125" X="160" Y="190" T="0" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" /><S v="20000" L="125" H="125" X="320" Y="190" T="1" P="0,0,0,0.2,0,0,0,0" /><S v="30000" L="125" H="125" X="480" Y="190" T="2" P="0,0,0,1.2,0,0,0,0" /><S v="40000" L="125" H="125" X="640" Y="190" T="3" P="0,0,0,20,0,0,0,0" /><S L="800" H="50" X="400" Y="400" T="0" P="0,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,0" /></S><D /><O /></Z></C>

Note that v="1000" is equivalent to 1 second, which means the ground will disappear one second after the map starts, so it's best you keep ground disappearance under v="120000", which is two minutes.

If you're asking how to scroll the map, press space and drag the map, then edit.

If you're asking how to make a scroll map, here is the explaination.
