Shadowwinter a dit : I see your point. But I still don't think people should take the use of certain words to heart as they do at times. Also, I wasn't talking about actually replacing the word just for use. But the english dictionary to swap the definitions. |

| It is the internet, yes and you do need to have some pretty rough skin to keep people from breaking it, but when something this bad happens to you or a family member it's not really a joke anymore. It becomes a problem and yeah we can't control what other's say but again it's no excuse. |

Shadowwinter a dit : As previously stated, I've been on the other side of the gun. I don't let it get to me because I don't take single words out of context or the tone they are used in. |

| I'd like to share a little personal story. I've sat in hospitals for a majority life. From the age of 9 to 13, I watched cancer slowly tear my mother apart. I couldn't do anything about it but watch. For years I watched her slowly die, I watched my father cry, and my family was torn apart by a number of things. Disease, military service, financial situations, the works. She passed away on November 17th 2012. In the 8th grade my mother had passed away and that was the end of it. I watched my fathers health and happiness decline through my freshmen year of highschool. December 15th, 2012, I woke up to a phone call from the Tallahassee local hospital about father being in the hospital. He had a heart attack on Friday night while seeing his girlfriend in Tallahassee, Florida, 2 hours to the west. The hospital informed me that he was in a coma. While his physical health was perfectly fine, his brain was not. After going into cardiac arrest, it took the paramedic about 10 minutes to arrive, and in that 10 minutes, there was no flow of oxygen to the brain. Causing half of his brain to become swollen and press against his skull. This caused a coma and complete paralyzation. My grandmother, aunts, uncles, and brother had decided he would not want to live like this and they pulled the plug. Life support was cut off and they let him die. While these are not sudden deaths, they took great impact on me in these previous years. Yet I don't get offended or upset at the mention of parents or family. They're simply words, and can't bring harm to me. I don't take the words out of the context used, and take offense. They don't remind me of being in hospitals or watching both of my parents slip away from me. Because of the simple fact that it's the past, and the past is behind me. While you shouldn't forget the past, you also shouldn't let it effect you so heavily to a point where words offend you. Just as Jews don't get offended at the mention of the holocaust. Or how black people aren't offended by the topic of slavery. Things have happend, but they are in the past and are no longer relevent. |

| I'm sorry for what you've been through, but please try not to go even more off-topic. This is about under-aged players of Transformice, not how some people react to words differently than others. |

| I'm really sorry too, and that's a great loss. I'm very, very sorry :( But yes, you are not offended, and yes, sometimes it's wrong for some of us to get offended. But, some underaged kids do not understand their use of words, and some of us are offended by it. It's big in our eyes Again, sorry for your loss ♥ |

| Underaged kids do not understand their use of words. That's very true. But then you must remember that they're underaged kids. They don't understand their use of words, and have no idea the impact they make. So people should just let it go. Maturity comes with time, and getting upset about the words they use only empowers them. (impowers?) |

Tacnotah a dit : uh yeah? if you're offended by someone and you tell them, if they have any heart they'll stop and if they keep going you know they're just a troll and not mistaken about what they're saying better to try to teach someone something and fail than not try at all |
