Maybe instead of having events every year, we could have a list of tasks that we could do in order to get rewards. Just like Adem7777 suggested. The tasks could change every while, and we wouldn't have to be bored of an event playing over and over. Maybe if this works, instead of events we could have daily/weekly/monthly fun tasks!

They could make tickets easier to get, like every 10 cheese you get a ticket.

At roughly 27-29 brooms:

At 51 brooms:

It took roughly 21 hours to collect the last 23ish brooms needed to finish the event. This is with room hopping for maps, and occasionally getting 4 brooms in one turn. On average, about 1 broom per hour is doable. So if you have the motivation, you can still do it! Just prepare to sink a lot of time.
