Since Melibellule announced her pregnancy on Twitter recently, I've become a bit more lenient as to why the Halloween event was recycled, and perhaps the Christmas one too. Making a completely new event for Transformice takes more time and effort to provide decent artwork for it than we really think.

When Meli says she'll be too busy during March to attend the Game Developers Conference, we can assume she's ~5 months pregnant, which means she's putting in a lot of effort already to care of her child and herself, explaining why the Halloween event only had a few new items, a badge, and a mere cartouche.

The only new event we had this year was the Wizard event, which started in July. We can assume progress on the map background, accessories, cartouche, badge, and map collectables were made a few weeks before its release. Around then, Meli would only be ~1 month pregnant, meaning she had more time and energy to design a new event for us.

While I too absolutely despise the lazy event copies this year, A801 has a decent reason this time as to why this event was recycled. This is only my theory as to why the Halloween event was recycled, you can bash at it all you want, I don't mind, considering this thread is only full of angry fatties who thrive on posting a rotating recycle symbol in "protest".

Let's hope Christmas has a refreshing experience to it, if it doesn't, my theory still stands and I'll be able to properly accept an older Christmas event.
