GET RID OF THE MULTI CANNONS/BOULDERS FROM SURVIVOR. Srs how can you take away some skills and then decide multiple cannons are acceptable. |

Ok so apparently there were some smaller updates: First of all we can use the /version command to see what the current version is and what has been changed in the current version (in French). Even if it was a long time overdue it's a great command for players. Second, when you create a room containing the word shaman this room will only play shaman maps. This concept is being tested at the moment. I have to say I really really like this addition, however, in the current state it plays both p4 AND p8 maps. P8 maps have to be excluded from this shaman room rotation. They are annoying enough in a normal rotation, let alone the vanilla dual shaman maps. I think they completely ruin the purpose of this room which should let you play a normal shaman map rotation. Third, shamans can no longer gather more than 25 saves EVEN IF there are more than 25 mice going into the hole? I am seriously asking myself why this was included, is there any kind of issue having more than 25 saves? It only makes sense to get all the saves of all the mice in the room. I mean, if you play in a room with 50 players it will take twice the amount of time to be shaman, and then you can't even get all the saves? That cuts the save ratio in half in that room. Fourth, please mention the change of the "renewal" skill in the /version command. I don't get why the command was created if it's not used to communicate all gameplay affecting changes. Apparently, the skill now works randomly on all the skills. Way to break a useful skill. I have to agree this might be a good way to nerf skills like easy victory and teleportation and revival because they can be nearly used exclusively to complete a map now. I hate however that it works the same way on both the nature's return and gravitational anomaly skill because these are skills that you can only use once anyway. Also, it kinda sucks to use all your skills, use renewal and all you get back from it is an additional spiderweb, really.... I think a solution here would be to use it only on the skills which say "can be used X times" and not on the ones saying "does this and that for X seconds". Or, make this change only for divine mode shams because they are the ones that take advantage of those skills with their huge summoning range. |

Epifistu a dit : How about modifying P8 maps to have only one shaman in this mode instead? I'm as annoyed as you are at being paired up with new/stupid players during P8 maps but I'd probably be even more annoyed if the solution to that involved compromising the map rotation. Epifistu a dit : Probably another feeble attempt at preventing hacking/stat farming since apparently hiring more moderators so more than 1-2 are online at any given time is the hardest thing ever. |

Auroraclears a dit : They just went through a wave of hiring a ton of arbs, calm down. :p |

Auroraclears a dit : I actually like this idea because most p8 maps don't need 2 shamans anyway and if you play in a shaman map rotation room you are looking for challenge as a shaman as well. I doubt however that they will make this, too complicated compared to making a room play only one map category (please prove me wrong). Auroraclears a dit : I was also considering some hack prevention but I doubt that this is the reason. And I also doubt that farming is the reason, at least I would find that very unreasonable. Why shouldn't we be able to make large rooms, it's not cheating the system in any way. Edit: I tested renewal about 30 times now, in no single instance it renewed the gravitational anomaly skill. One time it renewed the nature's return skill. I think those are pretty harsh probabilities. Another reason why I don't like this way of nerfing renewal is tha introduction of luck to the shaman. Why would you introduce luck/randomness? I think the halloween event was annoying enough with the slotmachines. Dernière modification le 1425060780000 |

A huge thing was missed out on the mention of the room shaman. You die if you fall from a height, get squished by something, etc. This brings in a LOT of new gameplay to the game, I wish it wasn't just limited to shaman rooms but was an entire gamemode in itself. |

Shamousey a dit : Ah, I didn't get what the second part of the update meant. This is indeed very interesting, still I think p8 needs to move out of that rotation :P |

Epifistu a dit : Well if this is to become a full-fledged minigame analogous to racing, which looks to be the case from the new gameplay mechanics, I'll be surprised if it won't include a completely unique map rotation before long. Ideally, maps from room shaman or whatever its module equivalent is would be included alongside P4 and P8 maps. In fact this could be taken one step further by allowing mice to select the map category that plays on their shaman turn, from P4, P8 and shaman-unique, in the same way you can choose between normal, hard and divine mode, although that would also require differentiation of rewards. On a semi-related note I'm still waiting for divine mode with no skills to be released at some point soon I hope? |

Epifistu a dit : When I read the Small announcements thread, I was given the impression that "points" were referring to the points listed on the shaman list/scoreboard (whatever it is called). So that shamans gaining a lot of points wouldn't sham so often, giving others a chance to sham more or something. If the points are saves, a possible reason I can think of is that they want to lessen the amount of mice in big rooms for less lag (for those that lag), or maybe they want mice to join other rooms for a wider selection of rooms to choose from? Sometimes the rooms I'm in grow to 30 because of friends stalking other friends. Those kinds of people are in there for chatting, not for saves, so I wouldn't think this update would stop that if that was the reason. I rarely ever get 25 or more saves so I'm not complaining, it's just a little odd sounding. |

shamans can save more than 25 mice but they'll only get 25 points in the scoreboard. + since when were forum tab names green? |

Epifistu a dit : There is unfortunately a loophole with the decision they made. Even if they limited how many skills could be brought back (which was a good thing, seeing as bringing back everything would be terribly broken along with the additional side effects [which I will discuss]) some of the additional effects of the skill are still there. E.g. Big Cheese still stacks on top of itself, and Master Summoner/Reflex/Gregarious Spirit ALSO stack, meaning the shaman can summon at ridiculous speeds. I do not know if things like Diet stack on top of each other. Renewal appears to be more likely to renew skills that are less "useful" than other skills e.g. a spiderweb is more likely to be renewed than a Chief's food, and a Stable Rune is more likely to be renewed than an Ambulance. Therefore the shaman would have to expend the more useful tools first in order to get around this problem. I did make an attempt to report the loophole with Renewal before, but they seem to have turned their attention to something else. Dernière modification le 1425086040000 |

Having a room that only plays shaman maps is neat, the addition of new hazards is neat as well but doesn't necessarily fit into a room about shamming in my opinion. Something like this should probably be made into a separate game-mode that effects all the mice (if it doesn't already). Not to mention that not only does falling to far or having something fall on you kill you, but getting hit by something going too fast or going to fast and hitting something also does the same. I feel like the nerf to renewal was warranted but not as bad as it is now. I think it'd be pretty neat if it renewed a skill from each tree to buffer things out a bit and kind of reward players for being diverse in their builds (or just being a really high level). Not getting more than 25 points (Not saves, points) per shaman turn doesn't really change much in my opinion, or very little in bigger rooms. I wouldn't know because I generally avoid rooms with more than 30 mice. Either why it's a slight change that I don't feel will effect the game too much. Dernière modification le 1425110220000 |

Epifistu a dit : you missed a point :P 5) Shamans can't start spawning objects before mice can move at the beginning of the map :P a dit : About the 25 saves max, i'm actually good with that, there's too many players farming saves in crowded vanilla rooms (i've seen mice with 1000+ daily saves) just spawning a random bridge totem over and over. Dracoleaf a dit : Indeed it seems that my assumption was wrong there. When I made my post I only had all my info from the /version command as there was no information in that thread yet. Also, isn't it weird that in the thread they don't mention the shaman rooms? I don't understand how they decide what parts of the changes are incorporated in the changelog and which aren't. Ifrancesco a dit : Apparently I forgot to include that in my post :P |

Ifrancesco a dit : See this: Firebluestar a dit : It's not 25 saves in max, but yes you'll get 25 points in maximum at the scoreboard. There was an issue before when a room had 100+ mice and when it's a shaman's turn with level 90-100, it gets the saves and then when a round finishes, it starts a new one with the same sham due to the points at the scoreboard stood still for it until another mouse reaches to the top and to get its sham turn. This was fixed and now they get 25 points, but the number of saves and the xp points are still there, they were untouched. Everyone misunderstood the scoreboard score with the number of saves (if you ask, I also misunderstood too until Firebluestar wrote that and I, yesterday, got 42 saves in a crowded vanilla room, which they did count =) ) Dernière modification le 1425133860000 |

No it won't, because that way it would be impossible to level up and spend forever to gather saves! |
