I understand the limits a little more now, but I still think just... shutting down the map at 40 mice is a weird decision, as opposed to coding a respawn if you try to enter a room with 40 mice. That'll at least help the mice who are being crashed while "playing normally." With the current method, BOTH sides are frustrated because everybody is sitting around, waiting for mice to leave the rooms.

I respect Meli and I can recognize why she seems so frustrated, but the whole "rush the event in a single damn day" feels unnecessary. People enjoy an event in different ways. Some people like to get it over with so they have more time for stuff like egg hunting or just getting cheese, while others like to take their time.

It's only the second day though, so we'll just wait and see, I guess.

imo how she reacted was kind of rude to everyone. she should of been nicer about it, some people don't have the time to spend 2 months trying to get things in game that are extremely hard (this event is really annoying and i hate it tbh, i havent gotten a thing).

As a person who likes to get something done quickly, I do find this rather annoying and disappointed.
However, I understand and respect what they are doing. Yes it is harsh to do this decision, but if they need to change our mindset for something, I think this is wise, though at some points people might start abusing this update.
I think they may be trying to tell us that instead of just plainly farming for something, spending hours everyday so early, which is unhealthy to both the company and players,
we should slow down and just start to enjoy this event. This update also allow us to go a step further to THINK of other player's feelings when the room has overlimited to 40 mice, we are forced to think for others and not be selfish ourselves.
Being in a community that is so polluted, there needs to be a point where it is needed to be made clear that being selfish is starting to be too much. Meli may have enjoyed the hardwork and team effort of the updaters in the spreadsheet but this is making the community much more greedy.

Also in terms of the business, they are trying to prolong the event for you, but to finish it so quickly, it slows down the drive for the event too fast. In order to sustain this, they need the players to slow down.

I am sure it will cool down eventually, i am sure everyone will play a part.

If one does not have the time over the course of two months to obtain everything from the event, and they are upset over this, then I suggest they re-evaluate why they play the game.

The final title for collecting cheese is MAH CHEESE! at 80,000 gathered cheese. The final title for being the first to gather cheese is LIGHTNING at 40,000 total.

The person with the second-most rounds, at a whopping 527,000 rounds, has not even obtained the LIGHTNING title. They have a 7% first ratio, which is certainly not awful (you personally barely have much higher!), and they still have not obtained the final title for firsts. According to CFM, they have 527 days logged on Transformice. That is over 12,000 hours of Transformice.

The point I'm trying to make here is that the interest for collecting "everything" in the game requires insane, insane, INSANE devotion. Outright ridiculous devotion. Devotion like, after all these years, about 300 mice have the LIGHTNING title. Total. To have an impulsive desire to collect everything that one is upset over missing something must also come with acceptance that they will be required to play for thousands of hours, total. Which means they would have the time to spend two months trying to get what relatively little there is in the event.

Actually limiting the choices you can make is a rather silly decision. I personally don't agree at all with this limit, farmers are NOT going to stop farming regardless, as nobody has other people's interest above their own. Everyone is just going to insist that others should leave the room instead of themselves, thus leading only to more frustrated players, but not less crowded rooms.

Lets say that the shaman dies on the event map. Everyone receives the titles and stuff.
But someone throws a pufferfish and kills some of the mice after.
Does it still count as a win or no..?

Honestly hating the event map.
I had to get 160 sham points to finally sham, and then the event map came up.

One mouse survived, I lost all points, and got 0 saves.

Most likely changed to what it was before because of how easy it was to exploit, or the fact that the shamans would be affected harshly by it with save counts, since most people would just kill themselves just to get the eggs.

s2g they need to nerf consumables, those firsts really annoy me and mess up builds like jfc.

Yeah, I'm aware; but previously you had to go in the hole to get it to count. You explained exactly why they changed it. ;)

I really liked the instant egg rewards this time around. Then when the shaman was unable to save you, you could still get the egg...

Again, not a fan of shaman reliant event maps. Most people couldn't build a plank up to a fish tank in 2011. I wouldn't expect people to figure out this event map.
