sorry if this has already been asked, but how do i get cheese and mouse holes to appear in front of ground blocks? im trying to make a dirt background so im adding a giant ground block but it covers up the cheese and mouse hole. the ground's Z number is below the cheese's but thats made no difference. the only way i can get it to work is to set the cheese to 'foreground', but then the cheese is in front of the mice as well which just looks wrong. can someone help me with this? also if theres a different way to make a dirt background let me know because the solid ground blocks dont really show up well on the background :/ |

As far as I know, you have no options but to set the cheese as a foreground object. |

Thanks for the answer Jasseh. One more question, how do you prevent players from using throwables or other items that are interactable with other mices or objects, such as RIPs, fishes, balls etc? For example a few dodue maps without shaman pushes throwables out of the map once they are used. |

Pamdecp a dit : There is a way, I don't know the glitch myself however if my memory serves me right there is a glitch you can do to overlay an invisible ground over the map, any objects (including shaman objects note) that touch said ground, (and I even think mice too though ofc you can just disable collision with mice) will get teleported to 0, 0, add some foreground grounds that overlap 0, 0 and you're good to go. I'll see if I can figure out how to do the glitch when I get home from work so keep an eye on this thread @Henrikx or of anyone else wants to, there should be a p4 map that uses this glitch on the left side of the map with red indicators to indicate you can't put shaman objects there. |

It's (maybe) possible for shaman objects but I don't know if it works for consumables. |

Henrikx a dit : alright after a ton of research and experimenting, I was right it's possible, however, it's not viable, which means while you can do it, it's way too dangerous to be in a public map so I wouldn't ever do it outside experimenting. Basically if a mouse touches an object that disappears the same time it disappears it can softlock the mouse. Below is an XML code for an example of how you can do this, it's a type of something we used to call back in my days "invalid friction" and you used to be able to do it the way you want, but like I said, now a days it's just not viable, if you somehow tho find a way to edit the XML to make it so mice don't softlock when touching a spawned item, then feel free to use it and post the edited XML. <C><P /><Z><S><S P="1,-9999999,0.30,0,0,0,0,0" L="200" o="0" H="10" c="2" Y="400" T="13" X="400" /><S P="1,0,0.30,0,0,1,0,0" L="100" o="0" X="200" Y="200" T="12" H="200" /><S P="0,0,1,0,0,0,0,0" L="800" H="40" c="1" Y="380" T="6" X="400" /></S><D><DS Y="340" X="400" /></D><O /><L><JPL P4="200,200" P3="200,200" M1="1" M2="0" /></L></Z></C> Remember to never give up, always hammer away at the XML coding until it goes your way, hope this helps for now. At the very least hope you found it interesting. |
