By sound I mean the /music command. Disabling it would stop music from loading (and mute youtube videos?).

Good point, although we're supposed to simply report maps with hidden holes, meaning that we're trying to accomodate to something that's more or less against the rules. If you know a practical solution that doesn't cause lag, however, I'd love to hear it!
