Since IF is removed would @1412359 be fixable? But to chime in, I believe like this is a good update but the fact that so little people understand how to create this new mechanics maps will definetly decrease the amount of maps drastically whereas increase the quality.

Oh IF should NEVER be removed. Seriously. Half of the maps in room Shaman requires that shit.

The new replacements actually play out pretty well and it creates a hell lot of new mechanism ideas so I'm not complaining.

I wonder if Tig would make an update for the editor which you can manually "link" grounds instead of having to script it in the XML..

The most annoying thing about this update is that I have over 200 maps, many of them use Rype glitch. I doubt it will take "less than a day" to update them all because I don't have the luxury of time to even do these things. Plus it's basically kicking people like Temple in the groin; their maps that rely on the Rype Glitch will be depermed just because they're not around to update.

Also also, I can probably make some interesting new mechs with this "Replacement for Rype's Glitch", for which we probably need a better term, like maybe "Rype's not-glitch". But still, I've been dealing with all these Transformice updates for the past two years, adjusting my maps over and over and over and over and over again.

It's not even that rewarding. It just forces me to spend more time on map editor to make sure that my maps are of the same quality as before. I could easily use the time I did fixing my maps to do stuff like gathering more cheese, reviewing maps for the MAT, doing work, relaxing, and other less mentally exhausting things.

Map crew, please make this P5.

I actually wanted to say other things, but I might get banned if I did. Might be better for my emotional well-being, though. I've had quite enough frustrations with this "game" over the years.

At least I can connect things properly :p I had an art map which I was making but always got messed up because of Rype's glitch. Too bad maps that actually relied on the glitch are broken.

The biggest problem with making any changes to this game now is that it's already too late for any.

While I understand all those map makers that have lost all bloody hours of their work, you can't maintain status quo forever. Rype's glitch was nice feature but it was simply inferior and it made it impossible to connect dynamic grounds normally - which could get really annoying at times.

Obviously whole thing could have been pulled off better, map makers could have been given time to adapt, etc. Still, you can't blame devs for trying to bring something new to the game.

Most peeps miss rypes because it was simple and not as complicated as this new update, this update needs way too much time to use it, and therefore there aint any reason for making maps using it, if you dont have alot of time.

It does take really long time just to get a clue of how to do it, fully understanding it is hardly impossible compared to rypes glitch

Not really, as I said IN MC FAQ, once you take the time to look at it, it's quite simple. (I onlt spent 10-15 minutes looking at tutorials and the XML given in the anouncement sub-forum and I understand most of it.)
There is also much more potential with the new mechs.
And when Rype's Glitch, Conveyor Belts, Booster Grounds, IF, IM, IR etc. Not everyone understood how to use it straight away. It took a bit of time before they were fully understood.
Anyway. I'm sure (hope) Tig will implement an easier way of doing this, instead of having to code it. Really isn't much of a bother in my opinion though.
