and if someone could tell me an easy way to make the pressure sensitivity work, that'd be nice

I'm guessing you use a tablet :O pressure sensitivity depends on what tablet you use I guess. What program do you use?

Tfmasian a dit :
ebil.
Tuxpaint o_o i only used it because of undo and redo buttons.

Try working on the human anatomy. Also, make sure you plae the nose on the right side of the face. The face is also a bit too round, you can push it a bit more in. Practice makes perfect. ^^

Darklonewolf a dit :
Ill use the art Im most prud of c: (sorry its so big i thought it was smaller when i made it '^')
I made this just before i discovered blur

Try using seperate layers for lineart, coloring and shading etc. Instead of using blur, try using the water tool to blend the colors. It gives a nicer effect :)

Iceviaya a dit :
...I'm leaving this here for criticism:

I've seen a lot of your art and I've noticed that your mice only face a certain direction. Try drawing your mice from different angles. Also, make your shading a bit more noticable, more darker and lighter.

Mishkatave a dit :
I use Paint tool sai! Look:

I suggest using the pen tool to line your art then and try working on your anatomy a bit more. Also don't forget to use multiple layers, it makes things easier

Chamalie a dit :
Beautiful Oo i'm not good than this...
Here's an exemple (I USE AN BASE) :

Make sure you color or shade on a different layer than the base. It'll look a bit better and neater.

to make the pressure sensitivity work you have to download AND install the tablet driver from the bamboo website just look on the back/box of your tablet and see what kind it is and google _____ driver
if you've already done this and you still aren't getting it to work i know that paint tool sai has a lot of problems for me with my tablet + sai + windows 7 so i just keep restarting sai/my pc until it works x_x

well, the first thing i would reccommend is making a rounded, decently sized ear shape for the mice, like the ones in transformice (please don't call me a hypocrite on this since i know my mice have really huge ears)
and also for the hair, it's just really big compared to the body and it looks like you used the airbrush tool to try and do something with it which I personally don't like the airbrush tool very much
I also see the airbrush tool on the eye, and your eye is really big and has no pupils and please don't take offense to this but eyelashes aren't really shaped like that :x
there are some ways to draw eyes here if you want: http://i.imgur.com/3DrE6Tt.png

you could try to do some shading since i don't see any, try to make some actual feet, try to make your mouse a little more "mouse shaped", and try to make the outside outline (the black one) a little smoother; i know it's hard if you're using a mouse to draw with

there is also a lot of just empty space towards the forehead area which you could get rid of by moving all of the facial features up a little bit or drawing some eyebrows or making the head smaller or extending the top part of the hair

mice have whiskers, which many mice artists seem to forget

one more thing, I see that there is a white line on the bottom, so you should actually save your drawing and not take a screenshot of it and cut it out which it looks like you've done
if you're using sai and the trial ran out, then yes, you have to take a screenshot of what you've done, but try to cut it out a little more precisely
I red line thing'd your drawing also, keep in mind that this is mostly JUST MY STYLE http://i.imgur.com/IOShSnv.png please excuse my monster handwriting

--keep in mind that you do not have to take my critiques, etc--

Oh that helps alot :o BTW I cant make the Outline abit smoother since Im abit shaky and cold when I draw and... abit nervous when takin requests on art also ._. I used the Airbrush as to make my eyes abit glow more but I see its abit..... Weird I see clearly o3o I draw the eyelashes like that so I guess I can change it abit~ When I draw the ears, I just feel like falling off my chair since I have people at my house watching me Draw. Ya I did forget the whiskers ^.^' I dont see how I can draw the feet but okay. Eerrrr....... I dont understand what You mean by "Mouse Shaped". Im workin on shading soon so Ill fix that :3

First of all, the forehead is big, and the ears are a bit bigger. Try making those parts smaller. Also, put the ears to the side of the head, and not on the top.

The shading is a bit dark, and the sun is WAY too big. You should only make the sun big when you're making a sunset, or when the character is near the sun in space or on a cliff.

The background is really blurry. I only reccomend bluring the clouds slighty, so that they look fluffy like real clouds, and not blur the whole background.
