I miss old times :C

Transformice is not even a fun game anymore ... its a ''love somebody i don't know'' site and a program filled with rooms and minimaes wich is filled with ''people'' that are still 3 years old and are learning to swear ALL THE TIME. ~2nd best indie game of 2012 ladies and gentleman

Back in MY DAY we had to WORK for our cheese!! AND we had to ENTERTAIN ourselves WITHOUT minigames!1! We didn't have all this RIFRAFF RUNNING AROUND THE STREETS *Shakes cane angrily*

Really, some people in this thread almost sound like a bunch of disconent old people complaining about how things were so much better "back in the day" :P

Sure, but it's not *all* worse. People just don't like change in general, but then when things stay the same they get bored.

I still like it, most of the people i disliked are not playing anymore, i made a couple of friend to play with and have a good time, i don't really like events but it's a personal thing.
It's a smple game but it's challenging and fun, and expecdially in the morning is kids free,

The real good of Old Transformice was probably before the winter of 2011, preferably around the summer or sooner, because mini-games still existed and so did bots. Not saying that's all what was great but there are indeed a lot of old great things like:
Room Test [kr only i believe]
Room Perm [en2 room 10 i think]
Room Ratapult
Room Tribewar [preferably before the modded bots were taken away]
Community Itself
Christmas 2010
Edit: And before MODS *cough* took over the racing rotation and it was just holz adding maps

I've been handling the racing rotation for probably at least a year... why are you just complaining now? :P

but yeah I miss old maps, going through old ones makes me miss their simplicity before there were these fancy color lag joints and such.

This ^ I just found out if you survive in Survivor you get 1 cheese. Holy crap, how long has THAT been implemented (only was in that room cause of a friend) and it took me 20 rounds to realize it. Furthermore you all have Fraises to buy (AND CUSTOMIZE) flashy items to look more original. Lord only know how many Indian hats or Sonic hats plagued rooms lawl.

And this^. Making maps is a headache for me now, not to mention art maps lagging me all over the place (I tried jumping on what looked like a hill or whatever, only to find out it was in the backround).

As for events and such, I honestly am content as long as I don't need to kill myself for 20 hours a day to collect new items or whatever (Though I am still scarred by the vampire maps during Halloween flying out of left field).

Plus, apparently the community is getting far more rude. I say you were so visually stunned by the newness of playing a..well...new game that you didn't notice half the room calling you noob lmao. But I could be wrong, I just know I tend to be oblivious for about a month or 5 before I realize what I was oblivious too >.>

Oh no I complained the minute MODS took over because I saw the difference between holz's selection and new unknown ones, sorry I don't mean to offend your -taste- or anything but Meh.

Mods have never taken over racing rotation, unless you count mapcrew which hasn't had enough time to take off yet.

Yep, even though i made my account on the summer of 2012 i do miss old maps sometimeslike what barry said and there wasn't any what you call "RITTRAFF"

speaking of mapcrew COULD someone please suggest new survivor map crews these maps they are picking are so bad. they try to pick unoriginal maps that uses tricks to kill the mice but they dont realize that in this survivor time where hotkeys are in control shamans dont bother with anything else in the map. Most of the unoriginal maps arent original but they are still good you dont wanna try to go overboard with the word >different< and thats what they are doing

(btw not all are bad just most of them like 3/10 is good)

I just feel like theres too many try hards now adays, I really enjoyed playing before even if I died a lot because I knew a lot of people would have died along with me as we all tried to walljump while the sham slowly tries to balloon us. I miss the old grounds especially the lava and ice grounds, but as time has gone on, the game hasn't been degrading. There HAVE been improvements to the game, some may not see it, but trust me, there have been tons of improvements, but that doesn't mean that the game is now flawless.

I mostly miss not lookin' at my profile. Now I feel like I HAVE to try hard on my profile (even though its still pitifull) I miss when I played ONLY to have fun, not to try and increase my cheese count.

In a way, to me at least, I feel like the community used to be a "family" if you understand where I'm coming from. WAYYY back before the server merges.

I love any event where you don't have some "Special" map where you have to wait A ton of maps to get that event map. The easter event was great,And hey,I seemed to enjoy the April Fool's map too. But maps like the valentine and christmas maps are like fucking miracles when you eventually get to the map. Everyone in the room isn't saying anything,Neither am I,But in my mind im going "OH MY GOD,AFTER ALL THESE MAPS,IT'S FINALLY HERE...",And im pretty sure some of you guys were thinking something similar. I joined im March 2012,When the April Fool's map was there,I thought all events would be so good. But I...I was WRONG. Even some of those cool things in this game,Like walking into A survivor room where moderators are there,Letting us all demolish eachother with meeps and playing music,Or seeing A well known mouse in A map,Like Vulli or Thejkb. It's really cool seeing Tig,Sydo,Or meli in A room,Too,But I will always love the times when It was decent. It all started shitting on me when fall 2012 turned around. And don't get me started on the community. I was once playing survivor,And some dumbass in the room was screaming "HOMO SHAM" Or "NOOB SHAM BAN!111" When she got killed. It's the PURPOSE of the minigame,And she was sqawking shit at every. Single. SHAMAN. \End rant/

Ratapult was the best it was where I met all my in game friends and tribe.
