Edit: I'm, sure it's badly written, but just try to get what I'm saying anyways.

I'm really not looking forward to this. In my opinion this will ruin the game in the long run. Yes, it seems like a perfrect idea for experienced players, but what about all the new players.

Doesn't the new players have a rough enough time shamming. They see how all the "pros" do it, and try to copy, but always gets called noob. It's a miracle people even stay through this stage. And now we are making it even worse for them.

What do you think a new player will think when they join and see all the other shams have overpowered stuff, and they still only have the basics stuff. The gap between "pros" and "noobs" is big enough already why are we making it even bigger?

The maps will clearly change too become harder with all these stuff, how are all the new people even going to level up? And if the maps stay the same shamming will be far too easy for all experienced players, and all the saves I have played for the last couple of years will be worthless.

Please Atelier801 stop this update. I really don't see how this can do more good than bad. And I really want to see new players coming into the game in a year from now.

With the suggestion thread for all the effects, I hope they make decent decisions on how to balance everything out so no skill-tree is the best. Of course this is going to varry on play style..

Indeed, balancing will be an issue.

Having taken a look at the 3 areas, I'm inclined to pick the Spiritual Chief tree (Based on the examples Sydo listed of course, it could change by the time it's released).

I have suggested about skills in that thread,and now I want to suggest about the update and testing.
I hope the staffs really carefully to appraise the risk of this update.I suggest that the maxinum level are open to public is 20 or lower for the beta purpose.
If the things went wrong and you have to adjust,it has a less damage on players.
Besides,such update will causing too easy to finish the current maps.I suggest after the update is maturity,the cheese you get in the current maps will be reduced to 0.8 cheese.I know it sounds ridiculous,how come a cheese is cut into 0.8cheese.but I think it's a good way to balance the ease of maps and reward.
Or, if one is put points into the skill tree,the time he has when shamaning will be reduced.

Another thing,I hope that even if you are max leveled,you can't max all the skill trees,because decision making is one of the biggest thing in our life.In real life,nothing is perfect,we have to always decide what to give up, and what to grip,that's life.

Otherwise,it causes an unfair gameplay.Originaly,only experience of your self affects the performance in game,as simple as usual.
After this update,it ruins the situation.Except for experience,time consuming also influence the performance.
I don't know what will players think about,I personally loves this update.However I'm afraid that many ppl won't like about this.So,keep in mind.....

not only this, but if any such update were to occur, it should only be something that helps the sham, not the mice. theres enough favos already. the more items to a totem is a good idea, but i highly doubt that it should be in a update like this. it should just be a general update to everyone.

To be honest, I was thinking about quitting Transformice. The game was getting to be a bore to me. That, along with the increasing hostility found in the community lately, has caused my overall enjoyment in the game to dramatically drop.

Now I'm reading all this cool stuff about this new update and it's getting me interested in the game again. I think this is a step in the right direction for the game. I'm sure it will bring in loads more players and help to retain a good amount of old players.

I'm excited ^-^

I feel like this is a valid point. Yet I also want to point out that in any game, new players will ALWAYS have a disadvantage. There will always be more experienced players who have a better knowledge of the tips and tricks to the game. There will always be the aspect of 'the longer you play, the better you get' whether this pertains to personal skill level, better item advantage, etc. In any game that you play, there will never ever be equality between the new and old players.

I think the update could either be a massive success if implemented right, or a terrible failure that completely ruins the game, no in between here.

Either way, it will be fun to see what happens.
