Abdeltif a dit : Applications started only a few hours ago. I doubt apps have even been read yet. |

Abdeltif a dit : I believe all sentinels, moderators, and map crew members are automatically on the team already, but as Johnlantern said, applications only opened a few hours ago - it's the end of the work day in France already so there probably hasn't been anyone recruited today. |

Oh, I thought the team members were not supposed to test them (?). Not sure why I assumed otherwise. Letting them test it can get dangerous in the future. |

Um. Lol. I highly doubt Atelier will endorse testing hacks... Atelier basically want people to search the web to find updated hacks for them and send the links. This is exactly what Mods used to (and I assume still) do. Barrydarsow used to find the hacks, test the hacks, give Tig step by step instructions on how to RUN the hack, then when Tig still couldn't figure it out (Not an unusual occurence) he'd make him a video....and hacks still weren't patched for months on end. I wonder if with new public scrutiny Tig will find the time to make patches sooner? I assume this has been opened to soften the blow of losing some of their most dedicated mods, I'm sure they'll find more areas they've been hurt too in time. |

<Icewolfbob> Members of the hack reporting group will need to test the hacks And I have text from another staff member quoting an admin saying the same. You were saying? |

Again, What about the autoban? It does stop some hacks, and If people are testing them they would be banned. |

Ttnubtt a dit : Uh, if these re the fuctioning hacks then you're not gonna get banned. This is so Tig can work on the autobanning and catch more. |

Haruhitastic a dit : I understand this, but If you are out testing all sorts of hacks, then you might come across some that are patched and autoban. I guess its not a big problem though. |

Haruhitastic a dit : Wow, 100% stupidity here on Atelier's part imo, this is hilarious. |

Not like you're testing it in public though. |

Is there REALLY a private room though? Nope. |

Haruhitastic a dit : I could name several ex Arbs (even a Mod or two), who after getting a good look inside Atelier's workings went off to create their own hacks, hack sites etc using their experiences... This won't go well and feels totally like a kneejerk reaction to realising that without Mods such as Barry - they're kinda screwed on the hack front. Edit: Nice and "replaceable", right Sophie? |

Lewbot a dit : and an arb who was known head of a hack site when he was hired lol but yeah seriously endorsing people testing hacks???? are you serious? way to go at allowing normal users to do one of the worst rulebreaks in the game, gg pro admin team. |

If it was just finding hacks on the web and reporting them to a private forum that the admins pay a lot of attention to, I think it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Having to test the hacks though? No, no, no, that is dangerous, and most of the people applying won't even know how to do that, or may end up downloading a file that contains viruses. Others want to sign up just to be special. They should have a proper application form for this, something similar to what they have for moderators, but with more questions about hacking experience. |

Don't really see why this is needed. As others have stated, I'm sure mods do keep an eye out and should just continue to do so anyway? As Spon has highlighted (As have others above), getting users to test the hacks just seems like complete backwards logic to me. |
