In my opinion we need more mods, too many hackers out there. |

Nowadays, I keep seeing people getting into the hole when it is imppossible like maybe the map needs a shaman but they just went into the hole automatically.. Everyone kept saying it was hack and some claimed that it was lag.. I myself is not too sure too and this keeps happening very often.. But some probably are hackers using "lag" as an excuse.. |

I invite any EN players who think hackers are getting out of control to spend some time in a BR or ES bootcamp room (or any room, but bootcamp is always particularly terrible) or br-1. Then you will see what what it's really like. :P |

The problem lies with both the moderators and the community, but I can understand the situation with the community. You look on CFM for active mods, even whisper the bot [is that even still active?] and they'll get “No public mods online” which makes users think there are literally no mods online, despite the fact there are ARBs and hidden mods. Are ARBs still hidden? I know in 2010 we were... Anyway.. people don't see mods online and don't believe the report system works [I know it does, doesn't mean everyone else knows this too.] and when no one answers IRC or you just see people fighting on IRC [which I've seen quite a few times lately] they give up bothering to even report. So you can't entirely blame the community, but just the same, you can't entirely blame the mods either. No one can deny there is a huge lack of mods for the community. This is the main problem. Even if you're a very active mod, there are only a handful which makes your job damned near impossible to take care of any/all problems. Spammers continue spamming, hackers continue hacking, etc. And I know, mods don't even have to be in the room to make a ban/mute happen, and the user causing problems could be in another room by the time a mod gets to it so everyone knows [or should..] that mods are trying to do their job.. but with the lack of mods to call on, it makes it difficult for the players to believe mods are doing their job. It makes it difficult for them to believe any mods are even on when they're on hidden accounts. [Which personally I find pointless but that's just me] Seeing some more mods get thrown in the mix would be nice.. and hopefully they're active but I've spoken with a few ex mods and a current [or ex] mod can comment on this because I would like more opinions, but the requirements to be a mod sound like they're a bit more difficult than they used to be. I've been told that even if you apply to be a mod several times, unless you're a role model player chances of being a mod are slim to none, or if you've had previous bans for something [ofc that depends, I'm sure].. So does becoming a mod entirely depend on how nicely you speak with other players or does it depend on how often you report and how often you play? In 2010, it was based on the last 2 and while being somewhat nice was a requirement, having a few rages here and there didn't prevent you from being a mod, and your language didn't really prevent you either. [language as in “The fuck you doing sham? o.0”] So I'm just curious about that part. Geeze I think I wrote too much. OTL |

Since mods already get a golden name in their profile it's no secret that they're mods. So why not have an online mods list in the game (maybe /mods) instead of having to whisper a bot that may be unreliable? (which was the case yesterday: it told me the only online mod was Chrisbeer and he had left the team the day before) The problem isn't the community's, there's almost always two or three people in a room that know about reporting people, but having a small team handle so many requests is unreasonable. What is needed is more moderators. Also it's pretty ridiculous that 6 months later this is still a problem. |

I agree with people and that happening bad news if hacker doesn't trolling without then that were pretty terrbile already it this is problem or their so different server is probably change it mods is busy or school or working there a since playing on TFM it and I'm not sure they are online then you would get to IRC person's online just requests and respect as there no hackers in our rooms on server like a trolling or kicked of the room and I hope hackers is not coming back on TFM anymore and were safe right now then people didn't know on chat were spamming or you would use to ignore list and report it our different langauge it? |

More mods from different time zones are needed in my opinion. Theres never a consistent time when you can rely on mods to be online. |

Cidboy a dit : Yeah, that'd be great. It feels like most mods are either GMT -5 or GMT - 0. ;; |

I'd just like to chime in that I'm a mod on another online game, we have 9 mods total and we have at least one constantly online to deal with reports. The fact that that vast majority of the time I've spent on TFM has had either one (non-responsive) or zero mods on is both startling, and disheartening for me and other players. Also, I'm aggravated that the mods are just saying "no one reports anything" given that I generally send about three reports a day for either serious harassment, spam or hacking, with no responses. If the issue is that they DO get dealt with, just several hours/days/whatever later, it might be wise to have an automated message that lets reporters know that their issue has been dealt with, so it feels less like you're screaming into a void. |

Remember that it takes two people to report though, so it might just be only you reporting and nobody can see your reports. |

Cidboy a dit : Same for Sents please There really is a need for moderators though, has been for a while. Months before they opened apps. Constantly patching new hacks and the anti-cheat system do decrease the number of hackers, but there will always and there is a need for moderators to keep room chats in control and other things they handle other than hacker reports. |

Gamegamerlol a dit : There's more way to contact them Just contact them in IRC and tell him what's going on ... i also agree with gamegamerlol in my opinion , since they've open the apps 2 months ago and they should've had new mods by now (after checking all apps) and get rid of old inactive mods. no disrespect, (to be honest , TFM really needs new moderators to get rid of hackers and ban them) |

If you want to report this person is langauge or spamming any other and then just use add to ignore list and were must use IRC and there doesn't hackers is so many on server or like a million hackers and we need more mods and maybe change it future for my opinion then it actually as make it happening to why is hacker are againest trolling and different any server does possibly people use ./ban username for reason it and maybe I am was right. |

they finished going through apps recently and we will not hear about any new mods anytime soon because usually the mods are secret (because they're being tested and trained), and it may take some time before they are made public. using the IRC webchat is definitely a good idea but not everyone know this and it's not advertised enough with the link to it, as a solution. the link is http://www.transformice.com/irc-webchat/ since I know people hate looking for it |

I did recently (1-2 months) get all my reports checked/dealt with and any hacker was banned within 5 minutes, and i was positively surprised. Hope it stays that way, only thing left now is to fix ping issues but oh well thats another topic nobody wants to talk about. |

If you are checking Cheeseformice, sometimes it crashes. It's up to Sourdough to fix it. |

If no Mods are online in my community I'll contact a Moderator from another one, some do know English and are more than willing to help, if no Mods are online period I go to the IRC chat and try to find one there, most of the time there will be at least one, if they are afk they still see your message when they come back ( which is usually a couple of minutes later) and they jump on Tfm to fix the issue. Obviously no system will ever be perfect but we do have some tools to get things done, if you are willing to put in a bit of work of course. |

Kurupt is so right. How you report helps too, remember we get a lot of reports and it is very busy. Sending: "Fly hacker named x in room y on community z" is going to be really well recieved and answered quickly. Sending: [13:45]Hi? [13:45]Help [13:45]Hacker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [13:46]Stealing 1sts in my room [13:46]~$!# you dumb mod not doing anything. [13:47-13:50] *More obscenities* isn't so good. |
