L means Length (might not have spelt that right), it determines the value of how long your map is, so L="1600" means your map is 1600 pixels long. Your map orriginally is 800 pixels, you used to be able to glitch the map under 800, but that glitch seems to have been fixed now.

H determines the height of a map, like L. So H="800" makes the map 800 pixels tall, instead of the normal 400.

X is your x axis, this can be found in items, grounds, or decorations placed in the map editor, if I placed a wood ground at 400 X axis, it would be in the middle of a map. (As long as L is default)

Y is like X axis, just vertical, so if I placed an item at 200, it would be in the middle of the background, 210 for the middle of the map because the top is covered by a 20 H information display bar.

Was that helpful?

Shamousey a dit :

There's a small guide explaining defilante - including autoscrolling - here Topic-213506

"<P defilante="10,4" />
Your map will now auto scroll to the right. (to make it static use defilante="0,0")"

Nice!

Kittyepress a dit :
I have a question
Q: What is the code for up and down scrolling map?
A: ???

For up and down left and right <C><P defilante="-1,-1,-1,1" H="800" L="4800" /><Z><S></S><D></D><O /></Z></C> (that took so long for me to write I didn't copy and paste)

[Sentinel] There was a very slight mistake in this XML (<S> was missing) so I've fixed it to save confusion for anyone that copies it!
