With the ping command your client sends a packet to the transformice server with the current time and the server will calculate how long it took and send a packet back to your client with the time in ms.

Atleast that is what I think.

For all the people who wonder what it does, I can give you some things that you might find this info usefull for.

Ping is how much hole lag you have. Example: If you have 156ms ping, you have 0.156s hole lag.

Ping is how long it takes for the server to register your location and movement and to tell you the locations of others and objects. Also keep in mind for the server to tell a other player what location you are at it will go by their ping.

High ping --> Horrible syncroniser. If you are the sync and you have 2234ms, that means your sync information will send 2 second delayed. FOR EVERYONE.
