Old events... I remember them :c

I join TFM in July 31st, 2010. So I was practically there since almost the very beginning. I miss the old TFM soooo muchh! I lost so many good internet friends. But I know if they never updated it I would probably stop playing either way. ~Sigh~

Anyway does any one have a way to play the old tfm? I remember back in 2012 I found a way to play an older version of TFM but I can no longer find it. :/

I miss Baffbot. Baffbot provided an easy way to earn cheese and to have fun while doing it. He would be upgraded with new minigames to enjoy regularly. The balloon one was my favourite. The chat would say "Duck to spawn a balloon!" and when you did, a balloon would spawn attached to you. It really is a shame that doesn't work anymore with these new updates. Though there is Bafflua, it just isn't quite the same. Also it's broken and nobody ever got around to fixing it.

Another game I liked was "Baffbot Says" (a spin on "Simon Says"). Baffbot would dance, laugh, kiss or cry (those were the only emotes) and if you didn't imitate those actions, you didn't get cheese.

You could play music in /room baffbot as well. There were no tribe house items to play music with, at the time only moderators were able to play music. To request music, you would have to go on CFM and copy the code for that song. You would then whisper that code to Baffbot and he would then add your song to queue. You could only know how many songs were in the queue and the position your song was in. You did not know what songs everyone else was playing.

Something I miss that was not Baffbot is room 801. At the time, 801 was just a large box made out of ice with the two NPC's inside it. Also the ice was purple. There was a room 801 for every community and there was no '*' in front of the room name, so you could guarantee everyone would speak the same language as you. During Christmas, it would snow in 801 as well, but the snowballs there were very glitchy. The snowballs would not explode, so we would all keep throwing snowballs and try to fill the entire room.

I don't know anything about the old TFM, I joined December 2013 but it looks cool then and I guess it's good now.

2011 time was good when the game was actually fun.

They should make a option of where, you can switch to 2010 graphics or the present graphics.

Whatever happened to #retro ? I took a long break after December 2013, and before I stopped playing it seemed like it was actively being worked on. Was it not popular enough?

I think I came right around the time the real changes to TFM started coming around. By the time I came, there were already backgrounds, the first shop, and tribes (no tribe house yet), but as a 2011 player I'd say I prefer the past more. Really it's all the community, we've all changed and grown so much. All I can say is, I had so much fun when I first started, I'd collect like 200-500 cheese a day to get my stuff. Good times..

Of course there's things I miss from the older times such as some ground textures, the simplicity, upside down maps, the buggy maps, the commands like /dance /kiss /cry /laugh, let alone the fact walljumping was a skill that meant you came first on any map, no shop or tribes, and a lot of great people that sadly don't play nowadays.

Yeah, in 2013 before all the updates there was WAY more players than there is now. Im guessing that before ANY updates, ther was a million players, right?
Oh, and also, remember the anivl god? I just caught the dogs tail before he left the others behind!
I havent played since 2010, but since the end of 2012, just in time for the xmas event.
Like many games I play, I join just in time. I enjoy the old times, but then the updates come. Reminds me of mc. I used to love it, like I spy in the inventory in creative. Now its just all blaargh.

less br's was cool. also bot-run bootcamp because it was more niché (lolol hipster) and people didnt go there to farm bootcamp completions. the day bootcamp became an official gamemode was the day it lost much of its magic.

also i dislike shaman skills. they're dumb
