Either the animal had its venom glands removed or, more likely, had it's mouth sown shut. Neither are a humane way to treat a snake.
I wish these places would resort to using simply nonvenomous, docile snakes for holding, but I doubt such places ever have the animal's well-being in mind.

Not snakes but I'm gradually getting very sucked into keeping these darn things.

These tiny grain-looking things are what their eggs look like. The container they're stored in is exactly as big in diameter as an American dime - the eggs are very, very tiny.

i lhad a pet snake put i gave it to my cousin, the had a powerout, and the snake died :(

2014 was a bad year to be a snake owner. lol I hate that song and my mind is allergic to the million and a half references I keep seeing over and over to that song. <_>

Thanks! Some gecko species can be escape artists, and reptiles require very, very secure enclosures to prevent escape. They also have good memory, and even if they're caught again, unless the original problem is remedied, they will remember how to get out.

I'm also still figuring out how to use this camera, which is a Nikon coolpix AW120. Nikon, by the way, is a very good and respectable brand!

Just an update: all my dinosaur shrimp have died, but I still have some leftover eggs. In addition, I got in a shipment from Germany of another, different exotic species which includes a rare albino form, and of which I can hatch and rear whenever I want within the next several decades! :)

Anyway, after literally wrestling with Boots for 2 hours or so this morning, I finally got her old shed skin off her, because she won't shed it herself for whatever reason. Almost as if she has separation anxiety from it. lol

More like a big heaping pile of success, amirite?

And on another note, I picked up these two yet-to-be-named boys maybe only an hour or so ago. Literally never even expected to end up with birds of any kind when I woke up this morning, but that clearly took a different direction today.

Name the grey one Sylvester and the green-yellow parakeet Tweety Bird

It goes by colors xD...

I think I've settled for naming the grey one Mordecai and the green one Rigby.

After neglecting the camera for so long, I blew the dust off of it and took a lot of pictures today, experimenting with lighting as well.

Speaking of which, you can't really miss a golf ball thick, 4 foot python on the floor if you're walking around. Unless you stare at the ceiling whenever you walk. Same could be said about a cat.
It's when the gecko leaps off my hands or arm and onto the floor is when I do get concerned.
