This, by far, is one of the best ideas ever. I have a few Best Friends, lots of people that I don't know, so this could help out a lot instead of scrolling through that lonnnnng friendlist just to find who I need.

noticing this still hasn't been added to the list, so I'm just gonna bump ya know

Sounds really good, I would love to separate the people I talk to from others. Cuz right now I'm just deleting those other nice periodically and that gets annoying.

When you have over 100 friends the current friendlist becomes really frustrating to use.
Friendlist with openable/closeable tabs would seem pretty convinient:
