It's rather cute in a way to say that, but I wouldn't actually go around saying they're a pet, no matter how cute and majestic boyfriends are.

However do not forget to feed your boyfriend, followed by drinks, walks, a GPS tracking chip in case they get lost, and most importantly- do NOT forget to give your boyfriend daily cuddles and snuggles. I hear they like that.

If they make rather high pitched sounds, you are doing a good job at taking care of your boyfriend.

it's more of a pun and joke since their name is Sam so i called them Samoyed
sadly it's a long distance relationship and they're actually taller than me (offended since i am considered tall)
but i can't wait till i someday meet them, we both are addicted to cuddles and have the same terrible humor
