No if I remember correctly Art was rank 1 until about...November/December 2010, that's when he gave up his stat pursuits and focused on modding. Not as long a reign as say, the current one Jake has on number 1, but still Artkiller was and will always be a legend, it's sad not many of the new players know who he is. :/

Thus became the terrible community of late 2011 - 2012

I don't think so much the community became terrible as much as the game just lost it's spontaneity. Most of us were still in the process of becoming good during those times and even during that period, the admins were adding interesting new maps, shaman items and game play features rather than hats and other things that really added nothing new and "wtf" worthy to the game play.

Now, most people to me seem overly focused on competition rather than playing for shits and giggles. You can't experiment as a shaman and kill mice in awesome, funny ways without the majority of people getting insanely pissed off that they missed out on a possible 1st and 1 incredibly valueable cheese.

We are just now riding out an old idea and are given nothing really new to the game play. I used to actually care about getting 1st, but now I only play ffa and have a big group of pretty close, awesome friends. It's not too much different now than when I first started in room reddit.

Aww I miss how close we all were. I also miss the few items TFM store had so we could only wear a hat and some glasses compared to today....you see mice with about 5 items on at once.

I miss my friends ;_; most don't get online anymore...
