how's my shading doing? I know when I first started doing this people were complaining about it

The shading is not bad, but there's not very much of it and some places are darker than others; maybe you could make it a bit more consistent in some spots?

really nice art! your shading is great but for future preference though: when you're lighting/shading have a direct source of where your sun would hit your person to get a better idea of where highlights/shade would be. you could also try adding a little more colors to the skin/hair to make it pop a tad more! makes the overall piece look much more interesting for the eyes ^^

so while I'm waiting on someone i drew to see if theyre ok with me posting the art i made of them here, i decided to make a google doodle

I did this art after I saw someone post in the ASIRL thread and they were just super pretty i had to draw them hue

anyway I did a lot of new things in this, and i like how the effect i did on the lines worked for the lips, but not for the general body, so i dont think i'll do that in later drawings. But what do you guys think?

Hey everyone, been working on a ton of art lately :D so many beautiful people out there to draw, omg o3o

anyway, so recently I'm talking with my friend and then we go ahead and add each other on kik and then she shows me a pic of her and I'm like "OH MY GOD; YOUR HAIR; IT'S SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL CAN I DRAW YOU???" Which started a whole two days worth of drawing her, and her hair is so long and detailed and gorgeous that it literally took up most of the drawing.



As you can see I went ahead and did many new things with this, however the one new thing I did with this that you cannot see is that the drawing was done via layering (and by that I don't mean just normal layers) by that, I mean before I draw her clothes, I drew the structure, details and everything. So technically this drawing is literally wearing clothes.

As well as one more drawing, had to even speak with a sentinel about this one cause I wasn't too sure if it was PG13 enough for the forums, I wanted to test out how well I could draw wet skin and wet hair so I drew someone taking a bath.



my MC logo on the coffee cup is a joke on Starbucks if you didn't catch that btw.

well to answer your question smartie, I think I can give a very specific answer, I'm sure you're already aware I make maps, during about 2011-2013 was when I reigned supreme in art map making, not exactly for quality though, but for being able to make mechanical art while still making it nice art. Anyway, back in these times, we used something called color grounds, at one time we had 40 grounds, then at another we had 50 though I'm not entirely sure when the switch was. Anyway, this meant I had to be very carful and selective with the grounds I made a different color.

Basically, because i've been restricting myself so much over the years to different tools in the map editor when it comes to art, I think I've become skilled enough to color and shade things in a really near-perfect way given me not having any restrictions.

Anyway thanks smotty <3 I had a ton of fun drawing her.

heh, i can see that. I stalk your map thread sometimes and i can see alot of potential and effort in your art maps. it's nice to see that you're getting alot of recognition and i can only for the better because you definitely deserve it! keep up the gud work
