It'd be cool if there weren't so many on the game that'd choose the exact same one, I actually kinda like my tag because it identifies me apart from other people with this name but that's just me
Also, why do tags really matter? I mean, the point of the game isn't to have a cool looking tag it's to play the game and hang out

at least in my instance my username got particularly ruined thanks to this, so i /support this as long as they give an option so that both sides dont groan about its uselessness to leave it up to RNG and please the other side who actually cares about this.

im not sure i'm getting your full picture, so correct me if i'm understanding this wrong, but that point doesnt make sense. if a group of people call it pointless, they aren't saying that they dont care about the topic, they're saying that the suggestion isnt a good idea.
i dont understand how 2 pages of people saying it's not worth it is people saying "i dont care."
