I like this idea, but instead of hearts, it should be 'feathers' like the shaman symbol.

I think it should be hearts because you get them from saving mice and mice creative hearts when you reach the hole.

That's a nice idea. Doubles hearts in hardmode. And people that already have saves will just have the amount exported into the shop.

also tfm calculates hardmode and regular saves together for hearts
This is also to encourage players who are attached to easy mode
