I don't know about others, but I build stable from the get-go, no wibble-wobble catching planks as they dangle around. The base of the build should be the most stable, after all, and adding after that mice can't really interfere because it's already stabilized

Of course, most bases start with ghost boards, so trolls can't even mess with it. You can rest assured most pure-V builds are built for endurance, and sometimes we like to drop a few anvils on them just to make sure of that.
