You took what I said out of context and my wording was correct. I stated there are lots of things wrong in this world and people need to learn to accept that. While I am not saying you should do nothing about it, if you're not providing very much insight on how you plan on fixing things, you shouldn't just stand around and point out the problems.

You didn't say that you stand around and point out the problems. But that's exactly what you and others have done.
The only one here that has made a point on how he/she is making a difference is Rehoto. Everyone else is just blaming parenting which is a cause for problems like this, but I don't see a solution to the problem.

Pretty sure you have no ground to tell us that we all "stand around and point out the problems" because you don't know how we handle it in-game, because this thread isn't about trying to eliminate it but to discuss it.
And also grouping "everyone" of blaming parenting when Haruhitastic is the one that made that good point is also not true.

Basically, this is a discussion thread and isn't us trying to eliminate the nonsense here. We actually do take efforts to stop and explain and help in-game and other places.

Sorry, I used parenting as an example because while it was Haru that made that point, nearly everyone agreed including myself.
There is also peer-pressure, and what not.
This is a discussion thread, and isn't meant to eliminate anything. But the topic at hand isn't really much for discussion.
It's just a constant re-hash of the same thing over and over again and the topic occasionally changes. I've stated already that it's about time this thread gets locked in my opinion. Not because the discussion is over or because it's not a good thread, but because there is nothing being improved about it. It's just us arguing whether or not there are too many 'rape jokes' in the game. And from my 2 years of playing Transformice, I have never seen a 'rape joke' in the game. I have seen these innapropriate uses of the situation, but they weren't laughable and not meant to be.

I question anything and everything, even myself. Nobody is exempt from questioning no matter their situations or experiences. I use all evidence available and have seen none supporting the large amount of 'rape jokes'. Aside from I guess Rehotos example, though I wouldn't even consider the 'rape joke' a joke. It seems more like spam which is already a reason for the player to be muted for a short amount of time.

The fact of the matter is that this thread is discussing the majority of under-aged (though it can include immature older players) players. However, you may think it's derailed because of the topic at hand, but it's because that's one of the biggest problems running rampant throughout TFM and the internet with younger users and some older users. So it's still on topic. Sure it might not be a tasteful discussion nor helpful in your eyes, but whether you want to believe us or not, we do take efforts to stop the nonsense, by reporting/trying to explain why it's bad and comforting those that might be hurt/affected by it.
And it's quite obvious that rape jokes are in no way ok.
I hope you don't get a fighting tone from this, I'm not fighting in any way.
I need to go write a book report now, so I take my leave.

While I am still blind to these 'rape jokes'. I see your point, and while I disagree with you and many others on parts, that's life and I accept that.

There's no need to feel insulted. They're just discussing the concept of underage people playing Transformice. They're not trying to target you just because you're underaged but just discussing how they feel about underaged players. If you disagree, just argue your point as many people in this thread are on your side ^^

I personally feel admins should start enforcing age limits due to the profanity on this online game but also the fact that children can easily contract viruses onto the (most likely) family shared computer after being convinced by another malicious older user into downloading an unsafe link and even hacks.

The Terms and Conditions of Use state, under section (I think) 5.1 - Account Registration and Use,
- "...We shall not be responsible in any way for your failure to accurately confirm your age per the terms hereunder."
with the terms hereunder's definitions paraphrased as a) requiring parental and guardian observation and review of the Terms and Conditions of Use for all users under the age of 13, and, b) requiring confirmation of a user's age being greater than 18 for all content deemed "mature" (which, by the TaCoU's definitions, would supposedly, possibly, actually be marked as such -- maps and other similar online experience created by other users do not count for this as they are not endorsed nor necessarily supported by Atelier 801. This is, I presume, just part of a standard legal agreement in case they do at some point intend to partake in mature content, and is pretty much irrelevant to this conversation.)

So it's neither Atelier 801's problem nor the moderators' problem that some guy/girl just posted on this thread screaming in all-caps about how he/she is totally 11 years old and actually in Middle School, as if that were meritous to the conversation.

Basically, by the legal contract, it's all the parents'/guardians' fault.

Edit: As a side note, I personally feel this is more blameable on the legal standards overall with regards to the Internet, in that children under the age of 13 can almost in every circumstance use the Internet for non-mature content so long as they at least claim they had/have parental observation, and you legally "claim" such whenever you click Accept on any Terms of Service that you are required to agree to if you want to use almost any software. There's no real way to prove the truth of this statement (and really, in most cases it's incredibly likely anyone under the age of 13 understands that they are basically signing a liability form whenever they agree to a Terms of Service, so they wouldn't even begun to wonder the potential repurcussions.) I doubt anyone would want it to be changed though, since the Internet is basically the last form of true supposed "freedom" anyone has, and if you really want freedom on the Internet you're looking at paying a lot of money for additional services to mask your networking.

Personally, I don't actually find an enormous issue with the amount of underaged users on the Internet, because I was once 8 and on the Internet myself, a long, long time ago. If there's something wrong with a person's attitude, you're free to set a good example to them.

Well, it's the parent's responsibility to make sure that if their child is using the internet, it doesn't affect their child negatively in any way. It won't hurt to just monitor their child every 2 hours or so, until they decide that it's best for the child to be left alone.

And if you're 8-10 years old, and you see someone use a swear word or using inappropriate language, the child needs to be mature about it and recognize that he/she is using swears or/and inappropriate language, and that it's not wise to be using that sort of language.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that actual age is an issue. I've been playing this game since I was ten, and - although I've been able to find plenty of immature players - some of the 13+ players are shockingly immature as well. I think that maturity is much more of an issue than age, although you could legitimately claim that I'm biased. I swear less than most of the people I see in random rooms, people are very rarely annoyed at me, and I'd tentatively say that I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of my mature friends are younger than me.

I don't mind if people disagree, though. The entire point of this thread is discussion, and if someone wishes to argue my points, I'd be happy to debate. I hope I haven't offended anyone - I've tried my best to be tactful.
