I don't think cursing is my problem. People will always and forever swear, it's uncontrolable. The immaturity of our community ABUSING swearing and sexual content is annoying. You know what I hate?

How RAPE is a joke these days. Let me tell you, it is not.

Insults that can be ignored and other spammy ways get into in-game chats. And it's not just the normal so-so spam, it's the new type of spam seen everywhere. And it is generally 10 year old's spam. I can't take forums seriously anymore. This is horrible but there is so much 3rd grader degree drama in fan arts and tribe forums and IN-GAME that quite frankly should go back to the preschool playground and not here.

I am NOT saying ALL "kids" are immature. It's a majority.

And, yes, I'm gonna agree with Lparents. I've seen people who are like 20 nd 30 years old playing this game for people younger than them. THEY should get a job or something than play the game. It really gets touted that life once you "grow up" is such better, so wow, much meme compared to when you're in grade school, yet at the same time you might often hear that your High School years will be the 'best years' of your life. Let me just clear this up real fast:

Life doesn't actually change outside of High School.

In fact, life pretty much continues to be High School, outside of High School. You may then continue on to post-secondary (i.e. college), which is full of drama and stupid bullshit and being told what you have to do, except the only difference is that you have this supposed "choice" of whether or not to listen to it, but the correct answer is obviously to listen to it.

Then you get a job, and go to a workplace, which is basically school because you see the same people and work with them in some way day-in day-out, and that comes with its own drama and stupid bullshit, and you get told by your boss what you have to do, but you still have this supposed "choice" to listen; you should listen to your boss anyway.

Life only ever really changes outside of school for the privileged 1%, the CEOs of the corporations, the ultimate bosses at the top of the food chain. For everyone else, you're still listening to someone tell you what you should be doing with your life and you ultimately have to follow someone's instructions about it. Even if you make your own business, you have to follow what other people say, with regards to taxes and all kinds of stupid stuff, and then all the customers of your service will tell you how terrible you are and you have to bend over backwards to satisfy them.

TL;DR: Life doesn't change. The only thing that ever changes is your outlook on life. This idea that adults can't play a game about mice searching for cheese is actively enabling the idea that being an adult is some sort of enlightened lifestyle, but it's not.

If you're about to be 12, you've still got a lot of growing up to do, but the fact is, I'm 21, and I still have some growing up to do. We're all learning to the day we die, and if we choose to stop learning then we choose to start being counter-productive.

The argument originates from the issue that the game can be very vocally offensive because of gaming culture, which doesn't entirely have to do with children but is extrapolated further by such. For example; most children I have argued with have fallen back to the argument that adults shouldn't be playing this game for kids, but why are we labeling this game in such an arbitrary way?

I'm sorry but I play daily for hours at a time, and I've never seen anyone joke about a woman being raped. I don't know which server / rooms you're playing in.

People who mis-use the word are just as bad, though. If there is no real backlash to the mis-use, then it comes off as being socially acceptable to scream the word regardless of context, when it's not. It's an incredibly touchy subject and a lot of people won't understand this, and it's not just limited to the young but it manifests itself most severely there, especially because if these children don't get taught just how inappropriate it is then it only becomes a further problem until either a) they become pewdiepie and scream about rape over videos and make tons of money for it, further worsening gaming culture, or b) they get hit really hard with a reality check that it's not okay to scream about how they'll rape someone just because they didn't get first.

Basically, it's immature people being immature.

Edit: It's not even real mis-use. The word does have an archaic second definition and I've referred to that definition before in private chats with my friends, but I use it so incredibly sparingly and to very few friends and only the closest of friends that I know won't be offended by the use of the word. That doesn't mean it's correct to use the word in public. At all.

This is ME and not THEM so don't get in MY way (I also draw them making love. e_e) I think I'm more mature than them... I suppose?

That's soo cute, I mean, even kids that are under 7 are a little more 'mature' than the 13+. Well, they're NOT that mature as I wanted to say, it's a way of saying they're so innocent and they are more open-minded than anybody else.

Also Transformice doesn't follow the exact words of COPPA. I think COPPA just states that children under 13 must have their parents'/guardians' permission, whereas Transformice 'bans' under 13s altogether and states that children under 18 must have their parents'/guardians' permission and all that jazz.
