Rejected (8) Bigerrol#0000 - @7880993: This map does not offer anything new, the timer does not make the builds more interesting and the layout is symmetric. Also, please do not have just decoration for the shaman to build on, they do not work in minimalist mode. Bigerrol#0000 - @7880993: This map's layout is unconventional, but seems to spur innovation amongst experienced shamans. However, it is rather challenging and even downright frustrating, so changes should be made to the layout to make the experience more enjoyable. Please make the left side of the anticloud high friction so the shaman can stick to the wall while building. Bigerrol#0000 - @7876432: Does not offer new or exciting gameplay, cheese and hole are placed randomly and it is too easy to use balloon solution. Bigerrol#0000 - @7876433: While the map is open, it does not offer something that we haven't already seen in spiritual. Bigerrol#0000 - @7834472: The basing options on this map are very limited, balloon/rune spam is not a novel concept either. The lava ground could just be anticloud if you didn't want the shaman to use it as support, high restitution grounds should not be used like this. Additionally, the overlapping cloud grounds makes the map visually unappealing. Condensation#0000 - @7882296: Basing is very limited, almost all builds consist of an anvil and a plank attached to it, and then a long bridge over the top of the ice, the gameplay is not new enough to be added to the spiritual rotation. Eduard11#2625 - @7616953: Having B enabled makes this map uninteresting since you can easily use swing solutions without having to create a dynamic solution using the apples. Cals#0000 - @7884907: The shaman cage feels very limiting due to the small amount of ground to build on and the close proximity to the edge of the map. The dynamic builds aren't entirely new to spiritual but the slanted cloud ground does seem to encourage some different types of builds, though we would like to see the layout improved to allow for more build variety. Miscellaneous (4) Map removals: Newen#6196 - @7808293: There are several flaws with this map: ice spawn, symmetrical, no reason for dodue. Results: Accepted (2) Eili#0000 - @3999356 - Difficulty 8: The gap between the grass grounds and the ice can be used in interesting ways as a balloon stopper, allowing a good variation of solutions available and thus an environment for innovation. The concept might not be that novel anymore, but this map is quite a classic that many players might be thrilled to see the return of. The original author of this map has agreed to accept this under his mapcode instead of the submission: Spiritualfix#0000 - @7886850. Strawberry#6091 - @7725820 - Difficulty 9: The map's design has decent support for building diversity. It's constructed in a way that feels new, unique, and quite engaging. The new edits made to this map only improve the experience since certain balloon solutions are now viable (as the previous map layout was more monosolution). Pending (0) No new maps have been added to the pending waiting list. Rejected (3) Cave#0647 - @7870000: The idea of weighting against the wood ground with the v planks seems like an interesting stability concept, especially for newer high diff shamans and the edit with the swaying at the start of the round has improved the clarity of the map. However, while the concept is really nice, the map lacks some creative design that will make the shaman build something more interesting than a typical u-shaped bridge. We encourage the author to resubmit this map under a less bland layout. Condensation#0000 - @7887565: This sort of layout forces a wj solution near the cheese, if not very close to it. The concept is not that interesting either, it's essentially just making a build and pushing it across the map which has been done quite often already. Cantstope#0000 - @4999880: The map is fun and simple but it doesn't feel like something new and interesting for the rotation since the concept is pretty basic; it's the same kind of gameplay we're used to, but with a different face. Additionally, there is no indicator that the shaman cannot spawn in their cage. Mariluiss#0000 - @7855436: The original iteration of this map wasn't actually too bad aside from the fact that the design needed to be made more concise. However, the new edit made to the map is just plain unfair. It's very strange that arrows and balloons are disabled on this map, but the no anchor zone only makes things worse - if you were even able to use arrow anchors anyway. B cannot be relied on very well as it would only block the ice from being pulled out, yet any swing solutions wouldn’t work too well in a lot of cases since you cannot stabilize any v anchor you use. If there are any ways to solve this map, there are only very few - there is just no way you can innovate much at all with the reduction in tools available, especially within the 2 minute time limit of #spiritual. The author should revert back to the original version of the map and only make a minor change from that point based on our previous feedback. Spiritual Review Results: Accepted (0) No new maps have been accepted. Pending (1) Mariluiss#0000 - @7890427: This map has a pretty unique idea and has a fair amount of solutions you can use, making it innovative. There are some edits that need to be made before the map can be accepted into rotation: 1. Shift mice to the left and make the ground underneath them anticloud to prevent builds getting stuck, which is quite annoying. Also add a wall so the shaman doesn't accidentally kill everyone. 2. Change the underside of the acid to a normal anticloud since acid should only be applied on areas where mice can walk. 3. Align the clouds with the stone grounds (shift them up by 1px) to stop builds from getting stuck while pushing them. 4. Add a small lining of anticloud choco grounds to the stone so it is easier for mice to get back up after getting cheese. Our proposed edit is @7893607, however feel free to make any other edits if needed. Rejected (6) Mariluiss#0000 - @7890308: The ice makes the map much more annoying than it needs to be, it distracts too much from the left part of the map, and could be made a little less uncomfortable in some way. The cloud part is actually pretty interesting but should be shifted to the left by 40px to reduce reliance on mice skills. We recommend just keeping the left side of the map and substituting the ice ground for a different, yet more manageable obstacle instead. Mariluiss#0000 - @7890430: This concept has already been done a few times by other maps of similar difficulty. The design may have been made with a different aesthetic, but it offers no new gameplay to go with it. Furthermore, it is very difficult to innovate on this map since the path to the cheese is very short and straightforward. Using B is the best option as well since there are no available grounds to use for stability. Hard mode users will have a harder time, but even they are not going to find a unique experience on this map. The only other notable challenge about this map is the cramped space with the cheese, but it is still nothing special. Overall, there is really no reason to accept this map. Mariluiss#0000 - @7890649: This map uses 0 gravity in a way that hasn't been done before. Unfortunately, it feels extremely gimmicky and a lot of the solutions rely on mice skills or feel very cheatish due to the chaotic nature of 0 gravity. Furthermore, without the ability to arrow anchor or use balloons, it is very difficult to create a stable base, and many players are not going to realize this until it is too late. Zmiji#0000 - @7890523: The open space on the map makes it easy to come up with any build, which is a good thing. This means that solution diversity will not suffer and that innovation is very much viable. However, the layout of the map is a little bit awkward for building, especially that the slope of the stone ground near the cage can force your objects to slide down. Also, while you have enough freedom to design your build, the map design is still rather linear and doesn't really reward the shaman for testing out different bridge configurations. If all you need is a plank up from the cheese and a direct path to the hole, there is no reason to try creating new build designs. Because of this, innovation is more so only going to affect build execution and not the bridges and pathing for the mice. Finally, if it can be done, the map layout should be simplified as right now it feels overwhelming especially to players seeing this map for the first time. Zmiji#0000 - @7847104: At first, this map looks like it would have an interesting dynamic build concept, but instead, trying to come up with a dynamic solution to this map is painful and is much harder than swinging. Swings by themselves are not bad, but in this case it's uninteresting and doesn't stand out very well. Zmiji#0000 - @7891091: The map is rather lengthy because of the anticloud acid, making it quite difficult to solve within a mere 2 minutes. Builds are also often finished with loose objects over the acid lining which makes it feel like it was added purely to extend the map. While the map can be enjoyable, the gameplay content is not very new and there is no reason to accept this map over the ones in rotation. Miscellaneous (0) No miscellaneous changes have been made.
