I'm pretty sure that was an intended feature. If you decide to /ignore a player, that permanently disables the ability to see their messages (It's ideal for people who are constantly annoying you, insulting you etc..) and adds them to the ignore list and you will never see any of their messages until you manually remove them from the ignore list.
However, if you /mute a player it doesn't add them to the ignore list because /mute is only intended to ignore those for a short period of time. Once you log out and log back in or if you retype /mute -username-, the mute is removed and you will be able to see their messages once again.

/mute and /ignore are quite different really.

Most of the time, when I /ignore, I relog, and then I can see their messages sometimes.

NEW BUG : If you do ./mute [Username] it is the same as ignore player but it dont add in to the ignore section

I don't think it was a bug, perhaps more an unintended feature. I know it's helpful when the CP is down.
