In French, things in general are Masculin unless specified as feminine, like if there was a guy and a girl, you would use masculin pronouns. Considering that it only makes sense to make unspecified titles male, after all, if not you'd have to code in a whole new title bunch. Just because some people don't want to be classed as male or female.
But yeah, you kinda are, people seem to like that now us men have our own titles, it's just a title, if you really wanted the female version, you should just choose the female gender. And if you wanted a non-gendered title... why pick one in the first place expecting the admins to make it ungendered for you?... There's like 1000 different titles, I'm sure one fits you.

The point is that the coding is French and so it's obvious that if they make gendered titles, unspecified genders would be male, because that's how it's done in French, how do you possibly not understand that point? It's basic language mechanics.

The code is French, the language for this community might be English, but the code is French, for ALL the communities. As well as other communities have a similar language system.

This is why for example, all the commands and XML coding for maps is also in French.
