It’s funny that you think I’m on a phase when Flash is part of a phase of web development which is now dying a death.

It’s inefficient, resource-intensive and ultimately inferior to other tools. It doesn’t deliver a good user experience on phones or tablets to any degree and it took way too long for Adobe to realize that. Others (like yourself) still haven’t realized and cling to Flash support as a bullet point on their Android spec sheet – ”my phone may have a shitty interface and have less apps but at least it supports Flash! *gets 2fps on everything* Take that Apple!”

But of course you won’t see that because lol who buys apple devices you sheep, so here you are fighting a sad little war with your ‘trolling’.

First and foremost, this forum's sole intent is to complement the game. Without the game, there is no such forum. You cannot discuss the supplement without the other. And secondly, seeing as forum is incorporated inside the game, and is only a click away to be accessed from within, I DO SEE A POINT IN VALIDATING THAT THIS GO HAND IN HAND. BAM!! (I love myself.)

Then it is quite simple. Stop using it. I used to browse a lot of forums and this is by far the best interface I have seen. This lacks the nonsense that comes as a 'feature' in other forums. If you don't see it as that way, fine. But don't be a little ***** about it.

Seeing as computers are more superior by the year, internet is getting crazy velocity in terms of its viewing capabilities, I see Flash becoming more and more prominent.

Computers do get more powerful year-on-year. So do the open technologies that the web is built on.

Meanwhile Adobe don’t know their heads from their asses and never managed to find a good way to bring Flash to mobile devices. This is why they closed up shop on their Android Flash Player; it’s why they never even bothered developing Flash for Windows Phone; it’s why Apple never let them onto iOS and why they gave up on that platform; and it’s why they are now promoting Flash as a tool for animation and game development rather than web dev.

Let me fill you in on a little secret: web designers hate Flash. They hate supporting it, they hate developing with it. That’s why so many of them have jumped ship and use HTML5/CSS3 and javascript to build websites. They don’t want to use Flash, so they don’t use it if they don’t have to.

Flash is never going to become prominent in web development again.

Well considering Android was the only mobile platform to ever try and shoehorn Flash compatibility I’d say it’s a safe bet.

Google and Apple don't want to support flash on their mobile devices.
Microsoft is also not really fascinated in supporting flash.

1) This forum rocks, which majority of the users agree with in this thread. Too bad for Beastmatt, he was hoping for more dislikes. Better luck next time kiddo. Here is some tissue.
2) iOS sucks because of the restrictive manner of its deployment and will ultimately fail.
3) Apple doesn't use flash because it will be a deterrent. Apple exists to make money. Not to serve you. Introducing Flash will undeniably, irrefutably take a large pie out of Apple's APP marketplace. This was purely a business decision. And to market it as anything else is deception upon deception. Which I HATE. Just say it outward.
I have had more iOS app crashes then any flash crashes in my Windows PC but I believe the crashes in Windows are a direct result of Firefox's manner of dealing with them. When running individually, I've never encountered a crash.

Think different. Go back and read what I wrote. If I had to think Apple's way of restricting flash was intrusive on my end, then it means I have a direct connection. DUH. I don't really browse in my iOS device. I only play games. Now, not so much.

Very valid for this forum seeing as majority of users connect to the forum from inside the game. Connecting to the forum from TFM is seamless, effortless. Now, for other sites, where forum exists for its sole intent, then you may have a point in current environment. But environments change.

I don't think this is true.

Nevertheless, while you might like this forum, I hope that you can agree that a forum that looks like this but is in html would be better than in flash. The look and behaviour of this forum is questionable in my eyes but everything is possible to accomplish with normal "html-technologies".

On TFM's part, I would think a Flash forum would be the most logical step. Everything is, like I said, seamless and effortless. Log into TFM and you are good to go. This is what I think most users of TFM would prefer. I can see a problem with those who browse the forum for the sake of browsing the forum. They tend to engage in activities or need more features compared with users connecting from TFM for a couple of minutes vs. spending hours on end..

What this forum ultimately served me with was the possibility of Flash. I have never seen a Flash forum, let alone Flash being manipulated in such behavior. And at current, there are over two thousand users browsing. Tig should win some kind of an award for this witchcraft.

And with that, I am done with this thread. I consider myself the victor and proceed onwards. :D
