| Didn't they try something similar to that a while back, blocking all Brs from certain servers, for example? It was insane, though rather hilarious too. |

Maxxzinnn a dit : Actually yes, it only lasted for a day though. I thought they had the same thing for en2, although I guess they must have removed it if this is becoming such a problem? |

Veralidaine a dit : No, what happened that day was that the staff added a language filter on EN1 for BRs, but they were talking about to block BRs from servers. And yes, there is a language filter on EN2. Language filter sucks, it's so easy to avoid them... I'm BR and I can speak in every server :/ |

Maxxzinnn a dit : I think EN counts as a certain server but okay. And ah okay, I was wondering why exactly they would remove filters from a server that is strictly supposed to be English. |

| Maybe instead of blocking people from servers, you get asked a random question in the language that the server is supposed to use to prove you can speak the language? And make it un-copy/pastable to prevent the use of translators? |

| So mods are muting/banning people on the EN1 server for speaking in different languages, but in EN2, the english speaking server, they don't do anything... Makes sense. |

Hetchi a dit : Those who would want to get on other servers would still be able to circumvent it, all they need is someone they know who can understand the basic language of the community or even just to google it and voila. All we've done is add something annoying for the legitimate players. Something interesting to note is that I too rarely see anyone reporting people for speaking the wrong language in EN2. Infact I'm lucky to see any reports at all, I only remember seeing a language spam report once and only a handful of reports (regardless of being false or accurate) ever since EN2 was reinstated. |

| Yeah uh, I actually wonder how many people realize it's an English-only server... I mean, the flag is just a big number 2 and doesn't say much. |

| I REALLY want that to change. These people who speak random langages on EN1 and EN2 are getting on my nerves. If they don't know English, then they better don't talk. |

| What bugs me especially is the people who have there own community. (Brazil.....) and two people talking to each other in another language, They should just use whisper. |

Whiskypickle a dit : 1. If a player understood it, then they're welcomed to play, but it would cut down on people who don't speak it at all (say, if two people tried to log in and neither of them spoke the language, they wouldn't be able to use the server). 2. It wouldn't have to show up EVERY time. 3. It'd be hard to google something you can't copy/paste, plus they could change all the time or be random, so you wouldn't have to worry about people posting the answers all over the internet. And even if it wasn't hard to search for, it'd still be a deterrent and that's the point. And reguarding not seeing any reports - We're getting tired of reporting and nothing happening. I know a handful of people who have sent report after report, but unless we're all on at the same time, along with whoever isn't speaking English, we get ignored (mainly due to the fact that only one report from a single user isn't even sent). Not to mention a lot of players have LEFT EN2 because of the lack of English and the overpopulation of non-English speakers (they outnumber us at certain times of the day). They figure that if they're going to deal with the languages, they may as well being playing on EN1. Lacielovesyo a dit : And that's a good point. I mean, I have yet to see anything that actually SAYS it's an English-only server outside of the forums. I rarely even visited the forums until a few weeks ago, so I'm sure there's people out there who either don't think to check or don't really even know about them other than they exist. |
