Its because the shamans have this power thst when the mice dies a bubble appears after they die.

I like to imagine they land in a big pool of water, and they make little bubbles, but sham magic inflates them and makes them less delicate and more floaty.

I have some sort of theory that when they die they float up to sit on a cloud, and while doing so occasionally (occasionally depends on the shaman's skills) blow bubbles.
Its a fun thing to think about
