One problem for me, I only disable the whispers because of spammers, irritates etc. But I occasionaly use it when I'm afk... So could WE change our status. So we can chose online, offline or away/busy? Just an idea ^.^

For me is the problem because if there's a big active tribe but thtere just silent then itll be hard to know who is alive also,

For the offline profile preview, Support.
For the online status in the profile, No support.

This would make it easier for stalkers to stalk the person.

you can already tell when someone is off or on, that wouldnt make a difference.
