I'm definitely lazy when it comes to this sort of thing and with the amount of spam you get in crowded rooms it's hard to copy and paste. Especially with a track pad. Thanks for the support. ^-^

I think this should apply to all links. But with links outside the game there could be a new window. The confirmation box for that should be like:

Attention!
You are about to open a new window.
Proceed?

Some people have hidden hacks on links so the hidden hak links woudn't come up as links. Instead they would be regular words.

It wouldn't be safe to be able to link to other websites. I doubt Transformice would be able to automatically know what links are bad. These could lead to websites inappropriate for minors or keyloggers which are programs that record your keystrokes in an attempt to steal personal information such as passwords.

Sure Transformice could block linking to certain websites but you can never be too careful. Life story incoming: During my days playing Runescape I was stupid enough to go to a normal-looking website because someone said they saw a video of me. All of a sudden I had a keylogger on my parents' computer. Luckily they were also stupid and had told me what they had done and that they were going to steal my items.
They ended up stealing some of my items but I had told my parents and so avoided any chance of that person gaining access to their internet banking details.

Could easily happen to someone else if linking to other websites were implemented. Linking to the forum and to forum threads would be awesome, though. Feel free to steal that idea. ;)

This is a great idea. However, you would not be able to link to rooms containing forward slashes, because it would break the link. I suggest the link just starts at "/room " and is not delimited, so you would always end the room name with the enter key.

Didn't think of that, but I guess people will need to stop using forward slashes in their room names. Otherwise people are going to constantly link to rooms such as "/room 100 meet you there" etc.

I have actually come up with a whole new linking process that would be easier for people to learn. I'll start working on it later. :)

There is no need to block a common character from room names just to make it compatible with a minor feature. People would just have to get used to saying "meet you in /room 100" instead. Or just say:

meet you there

Perhaps it would only use the last forward slash in the room name? For example '/room dadad/adaddwf/' Would take you to /room dadad/adaddwf. If you wanted a forward slash on the end you just add another one. '/room slash//' = '/room slash/'

I'm going to add my other way of linking in a new flag once I finish it. I'll provide screenshots and examples. ^_^

That's a good alternative, but it would not allow using forward slashes in the text after a link. Any way, both methods have their pros and cons and the format is a minor detail.

Definitely. I've used a mouse my entire life and when I didn't have access to it, it was the worst. Copy/pasting a room was so hard with the chat flowing.

I support this to the fullest. I hate typing. Especially when im laying down and only like to use my wasd keys. At first I thought half support because what if you clicked on it by accident. But then i saw the Confirmation as I kept reading. Its a nice feature. Maybe Adding a Thing to where only your friends could go instead of having a bunch of randoms :P

I never thought about this. I'll add an option that allows you to choose whether to link privately or publicly. Thanks for the idea! ^-^
