I like this idea because I feel that having only one soulmate limits people in polygamous relationships. It doesn't matter if it clutters somebody's profile if it means something to them.
You can already have an 'affair' by other means, but multiple partners do not mean it's an affair. If all parties are consenting, like Haruhitastic have stated, then it is a polygamous relationship. If all parties are not consenting then it is an affair.
Edit: What if all parties have a pop-up to confirm the polygamous marriage?

If people wish to marry more than one, then go for it.
If people wish to marry only one, then don't marry more.

Polygamy in a mouse game, mind you. Its not like we are congress deciding if we should pass a polygamy law.

If you want to be 'married' to multiple mice, you can roleplay that. You shouldnt need the game to implicate marrying 5 people to satisfied.
Anyways, it would be a bad idea for children to introduce them to being in a relationship with multiple people. (Also known as affairs)

It doesn't matter if a lot of children play this game. Introducing polygamy or multiple partners (that are all consenting) is an excellent idea to show that monogamous relationships are not the only kind of relationship you can have. We already have no discrimination on gay marriage in the game, so why not polygamy? There's no harm in this. Many homophobic parents would say they wouldn't want to introduce their children to gay marriage. Many monogamous parents would say they wouldn't want to introduce their children to polygamous relationships.

People usually just use the marriage feature to indicate strong friendship than an actual relationship. If the polygamous marriage feature was implemented, why not allow them to use the marry feature however they like?

Anyways, yeah I like this idea a lot.

And why should "offend religion" be any reason to not implement something with marriage? I think we've all seen what religion has done with Gay Marriage around the world, religion should have no role in any reason to not implement this, or any suggestion for that matter.

I think everyone should get an understanding of what happens in Polygamy, they aren't "cheating" on someone, because that someone already knows and has agreed to them being married to multiple people. If they don't agree to it they can easily find someone else, and in a game, it would be even easier to find someone else.

Imagine if you loved two people, and both of those two people love you, and are fine with also loving each other. That's polygamy, it's not "two people love someone but hate each other." That'd just be insane.

That's why I added 'may' as a possible outcome. I basically summed up some things that could happen if this feature was implemented in the future. I, personally do not have a problem with poly religion and do I respect all religions. But like I said, I basically listed the possible outcomes, nothing from my personal opinion.

There are some deep christian people on Transformice that do think this is wrong and could possibly start a fight over it, also by what I mean't on "Some people would clash over if that's right or wrong".

I never saw any fights over the fact that you can marry the same sex, and seeing as you specified christians, it may come to your attention that as of Polygamy, many people in the bible married multiple people, such as, King David (6 wives), King Solomon (700 wives), Rehoboam (18 wives).

So I don't think religious people are going to complain about this. For something that they can you know, just not do? Not force their beliefs onto everyone else who isn't their religion? Because if this was implemented people would have the option to multi marry. This does not mean religious will have to multiple marry.

And this is why religion should never even be considered when talking about a suggestion, because not everyone is a specific religion, there go if it's taken into account, you force that religions beliefs onto everyone else.
